I used the resources I learned at the beginning of the class to help me prepare for this assignment. The books were useful showing the words I should and shouldn’t use. I discovered I was using the wrong words and needed to keep it simple. I also enjoyed having a refresher on punctuation.
My goal is to keep making improvements in my writing. The two issues I would like to work on are, transitioning from one sentence to the next and improving my vocabulary. I don’t transition well and it bothers me. Transition is probably one of the hardest issues I struggle with. The books were helpful in giving me ideas on how to do that. I would like my writing to flow better and make sense.
I would also like to work on my vocabulary. I thought using fancy words or using more descriptive words was the way to go, but it wasn’t. The charts in the book showed the words to use and not use and it made me realize I was always using the wrong words. I became more aware and started using the thesaurus to replace certain words to make the sentence read better. I want to continue working on these two
