The course “Organisation Behaviour” has largely been a course of easy, pleasant learning and self-realisations. In this very hectic schedule of the second term, every OB lecture is something that a student to wait for, where in one can momentarily reflect and look into their self and learn as to what one can do about it.
I have documented such experiences below:
Perception
Perception is the interpretation of sensory information so as to understand the environment. It lies in the eyes of the beholder. The humans derive logical interpretations of any and everything they come across. The perceptual systems of the brain makes us understand the people around us as stable, even though the sensory information is typically incomplete and rapidly varying.

It is more about the thought process and psychological behaviour. It deals in how people carry themselves, think of themselves and view others. We also came across the Indian perspective of personality. There are various kinds of personality types like Sattvik Guna (spiritual quality), the Rajasic Guna (active quality) and the Tamasic Guna (material quality), and as, managers, one has to take care of these. Indian tradition explained in Ayurveda and the other ancient Indian scriptures placed heavy emphasis on the physical and psychological aspects of corollary of Triguna. The manifestations of attributes are synthesized across these constructs. Knowledge of these constructs can be used to promote mental …show more content…
I am no exception. For the initial few years, post engineering, I worked for a top IT firm. My work profile was decent and liked my job. However going along the path, I found myself surrounded by the exceedingly high expectations. Every good performance would in turn would ask for better performance next time. I enjoyed every bit of, but somehow, at time I would feel lost. And I would ponder as to where am I going with life. And after much introspection I would realise that I need a shift, not industry wise, but job profile wise. As a software engineer, one tends to see and do things how they are told to. The hierarchy is long and one reaches the desired level after
In a sense there is always a light at the end of the tunnel where you get to do something different every day, work with many great motivated individuals that also help keep you up on your two feet and serving the public to help keep people
A.) Visual acuity: The capability to notice specific details; a football player would use visual acuity to figure out the exact place the ball will land and where it will go in order to catch it. B.) Gate control theory: The theory of pain sensitivity. The theory explains that the pain impulses that are sent to the brain are controlled by the spinal cord.
Models of Positive Behavior Interventions In 2003 several public schools in Marion County, Indianan piloted a discipline model called Full Purpose Partnership (FPP) (Anderson, Houser, & Howland, 2010). The FPP model was designed to integrate system of care and wraparound principles with the techniques of positive behavioral interventions and supports. The novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is an inspiring read that displays how others point of view can change the perspective of others. Throughout the book, many of the characters perception of other characters can change the aspect of a persona. For example, Arthur Radley, also known as Boo, is perceived as a very mean person. Also, Tom Robinson is accused of being a rapist. Finally, the town’s people perceive many characters such as Dolphus Raymond, for being an alcoholic.
This is a summary of my learning whilst being on the foundation degree. I am finally at the end of my counselling degree and I think this has been my biggest accomplishment to date, alongside raising my boys. I have learned such a lot about myself and gained a better insight into how and why I relate to others the way I did and still do. In my PDP presentation, I talked about client work, supervision, peers, Personal development group, and personal therapy so I will just summarise these in this essay.
We all have different ways of perceiving and making sense of the world around us. What an individual considers a golden opportunity another considers a threat. Perception is the process of receiving information about and making sense of the world around us (McShane et al., 2010: 88). Perception crafts our understanding of the world around us and allows us to act within our environment. Perception isn’t a notion a manager or team leader can directly access or fix in others.

Organizational behavior helps to understand and predict behavior of the people and helps to improve relations between management and employees. Concepts of OB in Movie Movies just not only provide an entertainment, sometimes it is also provide some beautiful concepts and ideas. In the same way in my project movie “The Pursuit to Happyness” also have very beautiful and great concepts and ideas that I like to discuss here.

Furthermore, OB investigates the study of what people do in an organization as well as help them to recognize how their behaviors impact on the organization performance (Judge & Robbins, 2013). That the reasons why OB plays a significant role in business. More importantly, Mr. Hoang also instructs me how to apply the knowledge gained through this course for enhancing my personal development. The first valuable knowledge is that how to communicate with other people effectively. The second precious lesson is how to create a positive organizational culture.
