From the previous lesson, I learned about the lives of children who have exceptionalities or chronic illnesses and their parents. In the past, I only concerned about children who have exceptional cases or chronic illnesses the situation, but I have never noticed a special child's parents also have very complex mood. Children with different types and degree of disability also have the different impact of family life, which including economic life difficulties. However, the most important thing is that the parents have mental burden.

According to the class content, I think that the parents of children with disabilities should come out from the shadow of pain and anxiety, and then pay attention to their kids' psychological comfort and education. By helping children develop in society, emotion and body, kids can enter the normal system of education. Second, they need to educate children to cherish life, and use tenacious perseverance to overcome difficulties. They also can tell children some story about this aspect. In this way, the vivid examples can encourage children to overcome difficulties. In addition, from my perspective, children with disabilities need more care than normal children. Parents care not only can make children feel warm, but also cultivate the child's love, and strengthen their confidence to increase the family's warmth. In my opinion, children with disabilities tend to have a strong sense of inferiority, so that maybe they do not want to interact with other children. I have learned that being their cheerleader and giving them words of encouragement, are the best ways to keep them going. Thesis: To master the job of a Special Education teacher, it is important to have the right skillset. Conclusion In conclusion, after determining my own philosophy of special education I am better equipped to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Informed by this course, laws related to special education, and own beliefs, I have created an ideal classroom plan. I am also more aware of comfort level and fears in regard to special education.

Fostering a tolerant, inclusive and friendly environment for special needs children by creating activities which will bring them closer to the community they live in. The activities to which they will participate outside school such as visits at museums or other activities will make children visible in the community and contribute to a better understanding in society of disability and the role of community in integrating them in their daily life.
I spent my fifteen hours observing two special education classrooms at Sulphur Intermediate School. One focused on math and the other on reading, though many of the children I observed worked in both classrooms. The students were in the third, fourth, and fifth grades. Most of the students had mild to moderate disabilities and simply needed extra help in reading, math, or both subjects. They did not stay for the entire day, but rather came for certain periods.
Throughout this course of four weeks, my perspective of child development has changed drastically in this short amount of time. This was my first class that was related to child development and there was a lot of material that was important to learn and understand. I came to this class with not much knowledge, but I am definitely leaving this class with an abundance of information that I will be able to use in my career or just in general. Discontinuous Within the process of child development, my view is based upon that is children are constantly growing through stages which is a discontinuous process.
Classroom Observation Reflection Abrar Hilal University of Oklahoma Tuesday, February 12 Classroom Observation Reflection Special Education Classroom Report The special education classroom that I observed, included the main teacher, two teacher assistants, and ten students with Developmental Delays. The main teacher uses technology to aid the students to learn easy and faster. A smart board is present in the classroom, but the teacher doesn 't use it often as she prefers to use her own handouts and her specially created activities. I think this is effective as she can modify activities better and so that the students benefit from that personalized touch.
Disabled kids in regular school classrooms Disabled kids in a regular school classroom. What could go wrong? According to plenty of surveys, disabled kids are shown to perform better academically and socially. In today’s society, we are seeing more and more disabled kids being put into classrooms with non-disabled kids. But is this as beneficiary as we believe?
Henry Ford once said, “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress. Working together is success” (Brainy Quote). From here, the concept of inclusive education, including students with and without learning disabilities as peers in the same classroom, originated. The aim of this type of education is to get students with learning disabilities involved in the society. Teachers and fellow students will also provide help for students with disabilities; in this way, students with learning disabilities will be motivated to study as they feel that they are a part of a group instead of being isolated in special places.
