Have you ever travelled into the future on a time machine? No?! I invite you to travel forward in time with me. It is the first time I am using the machine and I feel excited and fearful at the same time. What does the Future hold? I am taking the deep breath, hold the starting lever, press it and here we go off.
The room goes dark; the night comes suddenly as if someone has turned off the light and in the other moment comes tomorrow. A noise fills my ears and my mind feels confused…
The time traveller’s recollected story.
Year 2114.
When the feeling of confusion had gone, I looked round me. I found myself in what seemed to be a round glass-walled center with a spectacular view. I was stunned to see a completely different world, ultra-modern architecture of buildings, fantastical cars similar to those I had seen once in the movie. Everything was entirely different from the world I had known. The thing that struck me most was little green spaces. I had a strange sensation I could not convey at that time. Something made me feel

What will life be like a hundred years from now? What will the 22 century people then think about us and our time? If children still go to school and if they still have history books, what and who will they learn about from our time? What important events will they remember in a hundred years? Or 21 century might be remembered for very different reasons, such as the years when people destroyed the world’s rain forests? Perhaps the teacher will have to explain to them what a rain forest is – or was. Or as the years when people were indifferent and by their inactivity contributed to the ecological disaster? I hope that our time will be remembered by how we lived up to the energy challenge. I do hope that children of 2114 will learn that these were the years when Kazakhstan took its first steps toward a new energy future making our homeland a better place to live
10 words/ phrases to support the mood 2 euphemism/ dysphemism 2 oxymorons Prologue The heavy oak door creaked and then with a sudden jolt, slammed shut. A burly man flew through the threshold and plumped down into his velvet throne. The bitter sweet smell of a metallic vanilla filled the air.
The second half of the twentieth century would be a time of both turbulent and simple change for the world and the United States. Hippies would rise as well as dictators, and a wall. Presley and Lennon would change the world when Castro and Franco did. Cuba gained new allies, and so did the US. There was a war in Korea, and one in Vietnam.
Gerald Early, an American essayist, once wrote “There are only three things that America will remembered for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: The Constitution, Jazz music, and Baseball. These are the 3 most beautiful things this culture’s ever created.” It is, of course, difficult to predict your
They are being cut down for fun, or for as long as a dollar can be made out of it (Document A). These trees, as long as the ones cut down are replanted, could be used as the foundation for the future generation, serving as the paper bound by a cover, as the furniture used to live in, as part of the pencil to write their ingenious ideas on. Deforestation is still a problem today, but luckily for us there are trees still standing. Our mission is to keep them standing, or else our futures will burst into flames before our very eyes, like the firewood burned in a fireplace during
The alarm clock stared me down as the time flashed like a warning signal. Each beep makes me more anxious and I kick the sheets off in a panic. Although the loss of power is not alarming, I suddenly realized how alone I now was. I could not walk down the hall and have someone to talk to. I could not wake someone up for the sake of company because no one could relate to my surroundings anymore.
This is when the United States becomes much like it is now. People were more into fashion, into different music like Jazz. Education is starting to change from religion to science. Kids indulge in random fads and trends. It is even the start of movies and sports.
The film takes place in the late 90’s where Neo, the protagonist is a computer programmer that works for one of the top companies in the world. However throughout his life, he has always believed that the world he lived in wasn’t quite right. He eventually meets the Rebels, who confirm that nothing is what it seems. The film than unfolds a truth that the people (within the film) are meant to believe that they are living in a calm, beautiful utopia, a paradise where everyone is going about their daily lives. Nonetheless, in reality their lives are nothing but an illusion: a stimulated reality created by machines in order to use humans an energy source.
What will the legacy of this vanishing century be? How will it be remembered in the new millennium?” He asks questions that make people really think deeply about how or if the millennium will be remembered in a good or bad way. Whether it’s anything
In conclusion the movie 2081 and today there are some similarities but there is more differences. 2081 is a dystopia and most likely will never happen. The movie 2081 is all about being equal and having equality and in today 's society some people are still striving for equality but I think that being different is better. If everyone was equal then the world would be boring.
I wake up the screeching of my alarm clock, prompting me to get out of bed even before the sun begins its day. Outside, the street is silent, but I cannot see far because of the morning fog. I was excited for the day, looking forward to the results of yesterday’s work. In the city of Houston, Texas, vastly different cultures collide.
The roads became more broken down. Suddenly the beeping of the cars startled my thoughts and my world unfroze. I felt the droplets accumulating under my eyes. Tears began rolling down my face. It was at that moment that I realized how honored I was to have everything
A step into the future, with predictions of constructing things to come. Tomorrow offers new frontiers in science, adventure and ideals. The Atomic Age, the challenge of Outer Space and the hope for a peaceful, unified world. — Walter E. Disney, July 17, 1955”. Tomorrowland showcased what the future was supposed to be like or Walters impression of what the future would be like.
Though the time machine is still used, it seems that not everyone is blind to the dangers of time travel. When
It felt as though I was running through a montage of my life like in all the romantic movies. It felt as though everything was passing by in a blur yet ever so vivid. Like time had stopped yet moving so fast. The words I spoke felt unreal and the steps I took felt non-existent. I looked ahead of me and all I could see was white sand and the beautiful ocean rubbing up against it.
The same pattern of up and down, up and down, up and down went on for what seemed to be a full day, but what was only an hour and a half. The rain, waves, water, kids crying, boat knocking us like a pinball machine, puking yellow slime, finally stopped after an hour and a half as the knocked up ship had finally made its way to the safe
