If being happier meant being grateful, then I had to adjust my day-to-day behavior. Essentially, I was most appalled and interested by Dr. Khorram’s approach towards incorporating gratitude into his daily life. These daily practices didn’t require a huge amount of change, but only a few minutes of his day. All I had to do was start small, listing down, whether physically or mentally, all the people and things I was grateful for. It was through these daily exercises where I realized I had to stop trying to chase for things unattainable.
Being afraid of death is not reasonable. The death acceptance reinforce you in living a happy life as it should be lived. What is death acceptance? Death acceptance is facing death rationally as an inevitable end of every life. This is what we mean when we say “living for the moment.” Death is not the greatest loss in life; the greatest loss is not acknowledging it.
“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.” Said by Jim Rohn. Mr. Rohn’s perception of happiness is remarkably ideal. Being happy and loved is one of the most prime feelings in this world. These perceptions are what keeps you sane, keep you smiling, and what keep you driven to accomplish things in your life you never expected to. Passion promotes itself within you and sends signals throughout your body and mind to keep you fluky and acting out activities you love.
He realizes that there is more pleasure in helping others than food or money. The actions that he had initially undertaken to simply win Rita’s affection have genuinely changed him to an ethical, happy man, and he gets rewarded with a sense of self-fulfillment. Hence, on the one hand, from the utilitarian point of view, Phil’s endeavors to become a better person illustrates that he can now be considered a virtuous and ethical man, since his actions have brought about good consequences: Rita, Ned, and even Phil Connors himself is happy due to Phil’s
Samsara vs Biblical Hell Birth, Oldness, Sickness and Death is an unavoidable and endless cycle of life that no one could escape. Whether you were born a prince or a mendicant, eventually you will die somehow and someway. No matter how hard you are trying to run a way from it, at last those cycles will run after you and you have to face with it. No man is not going to live on earth and have a happy and healthy life forever, one day those things will fade and it is only your soul that lasts. Almost every religion teaches its followers not to take one thing by heart.
They also possess great, enviable qualities other people wish they had. For example, introverts are great listeners. They don’t need to do the talking, yet people will still love speaking with introverts. Another advantage is that introverts do not need external rewards to keep their minds in focus. Because they love and desire to be alone, that itself is the best reward they can give to himself.
Spiritual warriors are balanced - grounded and firm. They never tire because they never get wounded. Unlike the other warrior, this one smiles in the face of uncertainty! The spiritual warrior walks with a pride and confidence - even before he begins, he knows victory is guaranteed. No task is too great or prodigious because he has cultivated such inner self-respect and a big open heart that is willing and generous.
Modern people have become so pre-occupied with the joy of acquiring material things and chasing the perennial threshold for success that we forget about those precious little things and moments in life that we are able to enjoy and experience. Appreciating as a habit can be hard at first, but think of it as a long-term goal. The more you harness positive thoughts and feelings, the more you’re likely to feel more at ease with your life and the more resilient you become when it comes to dealing with negative life
Now, these actions make us, or at least for me, feel great. However, this is not only for my own satisfaction. Like I stated before, you only live once, and I am a young boy who wants the best for people, especially those much older than I. Satisfaction is just a side effect of what is a selfless act. I, personally, wouldn 't consider being selfless, selfish.
And the fact says that I can warn people like you with this imperfection. I feel so grateful. I know, just like I said before. I even don’t see the real wonders of the world. But what I know is if I want to know the wonders of this world without seeing it real from my eyes, I just have to be grateful and live my life as usual as other normal people do.
