When I first applied for yearbook in 7th grade, I had expected to be walking around the school and taking pictures of classes for the yearbook, like I've seen other students do. Then use those pictures along with others from events and class/sports photos in the yearbook. Then include text describing what is happening in the photos placed on that page.
What I expected to do in yearbook was completely different from reality. One Interesting part of yearbook is that it's more open than other classes mostly because our class is in a library and people come in and out and, our teacher is out of my site. When I was working there were times when I would need to go to another class and get some pictures and I would, but then I would have to take

Well first, when the yearbook was finished we were given videos to watch about how to use the yearbook website and how to make a correct yearbook page. I would start on watching those first not last. Then after those videos I would go and explore most of the stuff they talked about instead of trying to design a page right away. Once I’ve explored most of the site I would look at previous pages and get a general idea of what the theme is. After all of that I’ed start brainstorming for a topic for a page that also complements something at RGLMS. Once I have all my ideas straight then I would go and look for a design and start gathering information, and applying it to the …show more content…
Before that happens I have some advice for them in how they can accomplish more and understand this class better than I did. When you start watch the videos first if given any and be sure you understand how to use the site. Then explore the yearbook site. These are all things you will need to know for the yearbook class, but it takes more to make a good yearbook. You will need to revise and make sure that everything goes together and has a nice
So, step two of the assignment, I don't know really have any idea on what project to do because I don't have the assignments from the other classes I've taken, plus I don't really have an idea on how to construct the project. I'll just have
This interesting school year has just begun. Students have been looking so happy. Here's why. First, This school year has a twist.
Hello! I hope the school year is going great. Although I no longer walk the Daleville hallways I cannot help but hear the many things that go on. It was clearly brought to my attention that Wyatt Baldwin's senior quote was inappropriate. As I looked into the yearbook website and saw it myself after my mom had sent me the picture of it blacked out I understood the reasoning.
According to me the best part during freshman connection was to help student make a survey for the bullying project. Making a bullying project survey wasn’t the most remarkable part of the survey, but instead seeing freshman connect with other student in taking survey and making other do was one of the most remarkable part of the freshman connection and working as youth leader. As a youth leader, making incoming student know about what they might face in school such as bullying was really significant to me because it allows them to go and ask for help from teachers and counselor regarding this kind of issue. There wasn’t any worst part of the freshman connection other than not being able to stay for last two days because of college visit trip. However, I must say that this volunteer activity as youth leader for freshman connection has provide me with insights that I had anticipated and even more.
When I attended Palmetto Boys State in June of 2017, there was one thing that I was told repeatedly since the first day: “You get out what you put in.” Before I attended, I roughly knew that Boys State was a government simulation program, and I was interested yet still unsure about the program. While it is a government simulation program, Boys State at its core teaches more than government and law. When I decided to follow the advice I was given and put in as much as I could, the week turned out to be one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Santee City, the city I had been placed in, did not have a great start to the week.
A smaller detail of my implementations is my new band camp guide. I was inspired to create this after reflecting on how little preparation I had
Throughout my whole experience at Centennial, I have always wanted to join the National Junior Honor’s Society, so I feel very honored to have this opportunity to apply. Last semester, I was part of our school’s Student Council. Being in that group allowed me to see how important leadership is in our daily lives, in and outside of school. I also learned a whole lot about service, considering we had to complete one hour every week. All of these things are important, but the thing that I thought spoke to me personally was this year’s theme.
I skip the business plan, business model and marketing plan development. Preparations I have enlisted all folding door producers and tried to gather as much info about them as possible. I was mainly
I would be honored to be a recipient of the Seaman High School Historical Society Scholarship. I want to be a recipient of this scholarship because I would like to be remembered as being a student that attended and graduated from this great school district. I think it is extremely important to preserve the history of USD 345, it 's students, graduates, faculty and administration. I believe it is important to create and maintain a permanent display of photographs, yearbooks, school newspapers, as well as any other significant or important memorabilia. It 's always nice to know that the legacy of myself and my classmates will always be remembered, not only for myself but for my family, my children, my grandchildren, my great
Talbot aims to lead her readers’ understanding in the direction of how much easier it was for students during her time to be chosen as valedictorian since not many people took these AP courses. Many students can raise their GPA with these classes, yet only one valedictorian is named, making all the other ambitious students’ work go unrecognized. Talbot emphasizes all of this friction within high school communities by adding testimony to her writing. Additionally, by proving to her readers that she has experience in a high
The film Graduating Peter, showed the journey of a boy growing up and experiencing school. Peter is special compared to the average student. When Peter was born, he was diagnosed with down syndrome. His parents wanted Peter to live a normal life just like his other siblings. They wanted him to be in mainstream classes, get a job, and focus on his future.
Achieving an accurate education system is not an easy function for any nation. The Smartest Kids in the World: And How They Got That Way by Amanda Ripley, is a wonderful book that focusing on the important of the education and how can the changing on the education system and schools reforms change the whole country for the best. This book had a positive impact on me, it gives me hope that each country in the world can create stronger and more creative education system; a system that can achieve students and serves both equity and rigor. Importantly, that can happen if we think first what are our educational problems and how can we resolve them in a smart and wise way that can help us to have magnificent results that benefits everyone, the
To me an organization such as the National Honor Society (NHS) is a way for me to strive to do my very best. Not only would it help me try to keep up with my grades, it will also make me more involved with my community through service and leadership. To me NHS is a way to shine through leadership and character in and out of school. It’s also an opportunity to learn how to cooperate with others and their communities. If I am selected to this group, I would contribute to the continued growth and success of the National Honor Society by setting high standards in my grades and achievements.
“ ‘If you want her to come, you have to raise the money to get her here.’ Nice try, but that didn’t stop them. The next day, a student brought in an extra Sparkletts water jug and set it in the middle of the classroom… A couple of days later the bottom of the jug was filled with coins and a few loose dollar bills”(82). This backs up the idea of students making progress and showing how far they have come since freshman year.
Taking this class has had a profound impact on me. I have learned how to properly study for a college class. Also, I learned how to effectively communicate and reach out to my professor. This was my first college course which gave me a learning experience about psychology and myself as a student. I have learned how to manage my time, study in ways that are better for me, focus on the task in front of me, and reaching out and taking opportunities.
