If I know that there is an important test I will go the extra mile to study even more by doing extra practice, so that I can do well. I believe that the reason I have good grades is because I know this and I do it every time I have an assignment due. Getting all of your work done on time is such an easy way to get good grades and is fundamental to being successful in school. I also know that in life after school, doing the bare minimum does not suffice in the workplace.
Of course, I was a student that hoped to attend an accredited university, but in order to, I knew I had to get outstanding grades. I was a hard worker throughout high school, and tried my best every year. I was really motivated to take AP courses as a freshman, unfortunately my school only provided honors, but I found out later that it acted as a substitute, and was accepted just the same. I took advantage of anything they had handed to me. My priorities at this moment are maintaining an outstanding GPA all through high school, and promoting quality leadership in everything I do.
Not foolishly and taking unnecessary risk but just going on through my life trying my best not afraid of death. One of the main goals I had set for this semester was that I would pass all my class as this is my first semester at USF and I want to start my GPA out right. Sadly, I know that I didn’t always work my hardest when it came to this class, but, I know I should
I chose to go full time to school and stay part time at work. Although these were stressful decisions and I have certainly had moments for feeling overwhelmed I know it will be a challenge that will ultimately provide a better career. I feel as though I could benefit National Honor Society through my leadership qualities, willingness to dedicate my time to the community, positive character, and perseverance to succeed in academics. While I may not hold many leadership positions at this time, I am able to step up and take charge in any necessary situations. Additionally, one can see that it is important that I take time out of my day to serve others as I devote two hours each weekend to volunteer. My academic standing is also of importance to me, believing that consistency in school is a crucial factor in achieving success. I challenge myself by choosing to take any honors or AP classes available and striving to put forth utmost effort in each class.
School has always been my number one priority. I focus hard to achieve the grades I want by making sure I turn all my homework in on time and studying for tests. Sometimes school can be very stressful but I have to push myself to strive for the grades I want. I have learned that before taking a test you need to make sure you study in as many ways possible so when the test day comes you will not have any issues. Another thing that is difficult and for me gets in the way of school is having a job.
When June 9th comes I believe I would be more confident than I have ever been before in my life. I have never been more ready for everything in my life. I need to work well with my teachers in getting good grades and completing all requirements before graduating from high school. I need to always follow my family’s advice because they can encourage me to focus on my

Since it’s an AP class, I expect there to be plenty of work. I’m not saying I like to do school work, but I think this class and the things I learn from it will be worth it. I know colleges will have plenty of work for me, so this will prepare me and build up my work ethic. I am doing this summer homework because I think it will be worth my time to take the class and do more work. As long as there I can see the significance and purpose to the things I do, I am willing to do the work.
Teachers are constantly working to prepare us for the next level. One time in school when my growth thrived was my first few days of high school. In these days, I was able to realize how far I’ve come and what it’s going to take to be successful in the school. From the start, I made the decision that I wanted to do my very best in high school to help my future. Ever since I’ve made this decision, I’ve grown into a hard working, knowledgeable person.
The Summer Stay Scholarship would not only help me to achieve my educational goals but will also benefit my future career. This will also allow me to complete other classes that I would like so specialize in during my time in school. Specifically, I would like to achieve my minor in sign language. Without taking summer courses I will not be able to receive this minor without an extra semester at school or overburdening myself for a few semesters.
