I make sure that I do all the homework that is assigned to me, even extra. If I know that there is an important test I will go the extra mile to study even more by doing extra practice, so that I can do well. I believe that the reason I have good grades is because I know this and I do it every time I have an assignment due. Getting all of your work done on time is such an easy way to get good grades and is fundamental to being successful in school. I also know that in life after school, doing the bare minimum does not suffice in the workplace.
Of course, I was a student that hoped to attend an accredited university, but in order to, I knew I had to get outstanding grades. I was a hard worker throughout high school, and tried my best every year. I was really motivated to take AP courses as a freshman, unfortunately my school only provided honors, but I found out later that it acted as a substitute, and was accepted just the same. I took advantage of anything they had handed to me. My priorities at this moment are maintaining an outstanding GPA all through high school, and promoting quality leadership in everything I do.
So that is why I try ad live my life to best that I can. Not foolishly and taking unnecessary risk but just going on through my life trying my best not afraid of death. One of the main goals I had set for this semester was that I would pass all my class as this is my first semester at USF and I want to start my GPA out right. Sadly, I know that I didn’t always work my hardest when it came to this class, but, I know I should
The decision to go to school brought forth the decision for full time or part time. I chose to go full time to school and stay part time at work. Although these were stressful decisions and I have certainly had moments for feeling overwhelmed I know it will be a challenge that will ultimately provide a better career. The accomplishment of completing a degree will hopefully encourage more than just myself. I hope
I feel as though I could benefit National Honor Society through my leadership qualities, willingness to dedicate my time to the community, positive character, and perseverance to succeed in academics. While I may not hold many leadership positions at this time, I am able to step up and take charge in any necessary situations. Additionally, one can see that it is important that I take time out of my day to serve others as I devote two hours each weekend to volunteer. My academic standing is also of importance to me, believing that consistency in school is a crucial factor in achieving success. I challenge myself by choosing to take any honors or AP classes available and striving to put forth utmost effort in each class.
School has always been my number one priority. I focus hard to achieve the grades I want by making sure I turn all my homework in on time and studying for tests. Sometimes school can be very stressful but I have to push myself to strive for the grades I want. I have learned that before taking a test you need to make sure you study in as many ways possible so when the test day comes you will not have any issues. Another thing that is difficult and for me gets in the way of school is having a job.
When June 9th comes I believe I would be more confident than I have ever been before in my life. I have never been more ready for everything in my life. I 'm already really focused but when I graduate and start college I don 't think it be a problem for me to be focus. I will more directed when graduate because I 'm going to start learning about what I love to do. I would take more risk in life because I would pushed my self harder or maybe do something I wouldn 't normally do.
If I do this, I will be able to perform better in college. I know that there will be harder subjects and activities in college, so I need to be physically and mentally prepared now. In order to achieve my goals, surrounding myself by positive and supportive peers is very important. I need to be with my friends who can influence me to prioritize studies above anything else. I need to work well with my teachers in getting good grades and completing all requirements before graduating from high school.
Grades may seem like a minor detail but when it comes to applying, it’s what matters the most. Graduating from high school is a really big deal and it’s time for me to start paying attention to my education instead of worrying about my friends because chances are that they won’t be by my side once I leave go to college. Like most teachers would say, “Knowledge is the key to
Trust me, I know you are going to feel like you have so much freedom in college but, you are not going to be able to succeed by not going to class. I can admit to buying a planner and trying to fill it out every day to keep organized and it usually only lasts about a week. But, in college you are going to need to
Since it’s an AP class, I expect there to be plenty of work. I’m not saying I like to do school work, but I think this class and the things I learn from it will be worth it. I know colleges will have plenty of work for me, so this will prepare me and build up my work ethic. I am doing this summer homework because I think it will be worth my time to take the class and do more work. As long as there I can see the significance and purpose to the things I do, I am willing to do the work.
As I’ve gotten deeper into my education, I realized that every year the stress levels and stakes get a bit higher. Teachers are constantly working to prepare us for the next level. One time in school when my growth thrived was my first few days of high school. In these days, I was able to realize how far I’ve come and what it’s going to take to be successful in the school. From the start, I made the decision that I wanted to do my very best in high school to help my future.
The Summer Stay Scholarship would not only help me to achieve my educational goals but will also benefit my future career. By taking summer classes I will be able to complete all of class requirements to graduate on time. This will also allow me to complete other classes that I would like so specialize in during my time in school. Specifically, I would like to achieve my minor in sign language. Without taking summer courses I will not be able to receive this minor without an extra semester at school or overburdening myself for a few semesters.
Yes, I chose a school that would prepare me for my career. The school I chose provided multiple programs and scholarships that are relevant to me. The total hours spent on my project would be close to around 70-75 hours. To manage my time effectively, I worked everyday in class up until the bell getting my assignments done. The dates assignments were given, I would get those assignments done that day.
Knowing what you want to do for the rest of your life at the age of eighteen is a lot of pressure. Deciding to become an education major at California University of Pennsylvania was one of the best decisions I could have made.
