I have always admired pieces of artworks- no matter what they are and how they are made; no matter how peculiar or beautifully eerie they seemed to my eyes; no matter how dreamy and surreal they looked like. Sometimes you could feel this tingly sensation seeping through each living cell and network of veins in your body, and it went straight into the hole to your soul. You are in awe every time your eyes make contact with them. You are in love. This is what I felt every time I went to an arts gallery. But in the year of 2016 we can come across arts almost everywhere we go. You don’t have to visit certain posh places just to have a look at an artwork. By 2016, you can discover a myriad amount of unique graffiti and murals while walking on the streets in big cities such as Kuala Lumpur and Penang. You can have enough time to swoon over adorable drawings and cute letterings imprinted on the walls of a coffee shop; and make yourself cosy and chilled in a beautifully-ornamented café, as you spend your time reading your favourite novel while sipping on a cup of milk tea. Arts represent an outlet of human’s purest ideas, and they have been acknowledged by many people across the world as a way to escape themselves from the hustle and bustle of the fast-paced life in the city. They can always express their bottled-up feelings and sappy emotions, their ideologies or personal thoughts, through arts and paintings.
