Culture is the mold of a group of people which distinguishes them from other groups of people, such as their values, beliefs, religion, universal theories and acquisition of knowledge. Culture can be broken into different aspects and each aspect has subcategories. Some aspects of culture are languages, arts & literature, religion, customs & traditions, social organization, economic system, forms of government and many more. In class we discussed Language, food & drink, social life, physical appearance, business and routines. Language is the foundation of culture. Every culture has a spoken language even if members of that community cannot read or write. Some languages have various dialects. Which is why in some societies, distinct groups of people speak different languages. Arts & literature are human imaginative inventions. They are used to relay our basic cultural beliefs like music, art, literature, folk tales and food preparation. Customs and traditions are behavioral rules enforced on members of a community whether right or wrong. They can be routines, …show more content…

I think the main reason this project failed all boils down to lack of motivation in students, insufficient time and work load. If you think about it in a constructivist point of view interest and motivation are important factors in learning. They might see it as a waste of time. Considering the amount of work load we have, most students have classes from 8am-5pm; any free time they get is precious which can be used to complete assignments, study for quizzes or for resting. And the failure might be due to the fact half of the time we didn’t really know what to do. Like with advertising the project this semester, making an event, inviting people to attend, we didn’t really know where to start because it’s not something we have done
