The Renaissance Period was a time in history which just followed the Middle Ages in Europe, which was a great revival focusing importance on classical learning and the values of ancient Greece and Rome. The literal meaning of the word renaissance is “born anew”, which greatly described the movement which was taking place at this time. The Renaissance Period was a time which took place for almost two hundred years, between the 1400’s and 1600’s in Europe. With the growth of political stability, growing prosperity, amazing growth of technologies and the new style in the arts, the period flourished. Inventions like the printing press, a new system of astronomy and discovery and exploration of new continents helped usher in the period.
