He had his men divide the women equally and told them to share them all. Odysseus stayed on an island with the time distorting goddess Calypso who loved Odysseus a lot and didn’t want him to leave so he decided to stay instead of going home he stayed there until he wanted to go back home. “I stormed the place and killed the men who fought. Plunder we took, and we took, and we enslaved the women, to make division, equal shares to all.” I think that Odysseus does not deserve to be a literary hero because he has done so many bad things to so many people that didn’t deserve to be hurt or killed. This is worth consideration because Odysseus doesn’t deserve to be a literary hero because of how he treated his men and others without respect, kindness, bravery, and he definitely did not put his life on the line to save others he put others lives’ on the line to save his

Odysseus of course had a plan and burned the cycloses eye with hot stake that had blinded the cyclops. The next morning when Polyphemus was letting his sheep out Odysseus and the rest of his crew he had escaped the blind giant’s home.
This is a trait that Odysseus possesses. He shows bravery in many chapters of The Odyssey. One example of his bravery is when Odysseus saved his crew from the sirens. If they hear the sirens song, they would be enchanted and then crash the ship. “Soften some beeswax and stop your shipmates ears so none can ear, none of the crew, but if you are bent on hearing, have them tie you hand and foot in the swift
So she began taking of its fruit and eating it.+ Afterward, she also gave some to her husband when he was with her, and he began eating it.+7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized that they were naked.” (Slide 10) Zeenat: The presence of evil in Lord of the Flies is the beast. Golding interprets allegory to the bible when he expresses the event in which the calmness of the island is disturbed, due to the talk of a creature the boys refer to as a "snake-thing” that evokes fear among them. This creature represents the presence of Satan in the Garden of Eden, who approached Adam and Eve disguised as a serpent. (Slide 11) Abby: Though Satan is an external force, the “beast” is a projection of the boy’s savage inclination. Just like with Adam and Eve, the boy’s fail to realize that the danger of evil stirs up sinful and illogical behavior which inevitably sends them to their
The ship called the Odyssey arrived at Sicily. Odysseus tricked my son into drinking strong wine and therefore drunkening him. Once he was drunk, Odysseus grabbed a wooden steak and stabbed him in the eye. Since Odysseus stabbed my son in his only eye, I created dangerous obstacles on their way back and finally I sunk the Odyssey with massive waves. Once there was a great war between the mortals, this war was called the Trojan war.

The story tells the general picture of relax and happiness around the met of Seymour and Sybil. However, the detail of story mention Seymour is being antisocial to the surrounding because he had mental illness by entering the war and relate to the banana fish get banana fever by entering the hole. Under the symbol of banana fish, the banana fish is Seymour himself and by losing the innocence which mean banana fish eating a lots of banana. Second, Odysseus and I show that when faced with peer pressure, isn’t always the right decision. In the Odyssey, Odysseus chose three men to search an island and “they [fall] in, soon enough, with Lotus Eaters, who [show] no will to do harm, only offering the sweet Lotus to [their] friends” (897). The Lotus Eaters pressure the men to try the Lotus, which in the story is like a drug. It is addicting and makes you want to stay on the island. It pressures Odysseus to try them because all of his crew try the Lotus.
Many of the crew members were invited in the palace for some food and drinks. However, this food was drugged and turned the men into swine. One of Odysseus’ men decided to stay outside of the palace while the others went in. This man went back to tell Odysseus of what had happened. On the way to the palace, Odysseus met Hermes, the messenger god, who gave the hero a gift: “Hermes gave Odysseus an herb to counteract the effects of Circe’s drug.
At the end Rainsford kills Zaroff when he is asleep. Then Rainsford keeps the house then his old shipmates ship crashes on the island. They are petrified because of the rumors. Rainsford sees them and they are pleased to see him and Rainsford invites them in for tea and bread. After they eat and finish their tea they go out to go hunting to add to their collection.
Odysseus was a strong leader because when he and his men stopped at the island of the Lotus Eaters people there were feeding them an addicting plant that made all of them go back to the plant to find more and not want to go back home. So, Odysseus dragged his men back to the boat and tied his men to the ship so they could go back to the land of Ithaca. for example, this quote proves that he " drove them, all three wailing to the ships tied them down under their rowing benches, and called the rest: all hands aboard; come clear the bench and no one taste the lotus, or lose your hope of home ' '. Here Odysseus that show 's that he was a good leader because he did not give up trying to save his men and not let anybody eat any of the lotus so no one else would lose their hope of going home.
