Al Capone was born in Brooklyn New York in 1899. He was born to poor immigrant parents. Al Capone went on to be the most infamous gangster in history. He was the fourth of seven sons and two daughters. He was one of the most feared mob bosses. During his reign he made thousands of dollars and his empire was worth more than a million dollars. People couldn't decide if he was good or bad. During his reign he tried to do things to help his community like open a food kitchen to feed the poor, and tried to ensure the safety of the city’s children. When he wasn't trying to persuade the people he was good, he was being Chicago’s biggest mob boss and was tried for the murders of many people.

When Torrio had returned he was so concerned for his life that he left Chicago again and went to Arkansa. 12 days after a gang had attempted to murder Capone, Torri decided to come back to Chicago. He and his wife had just came home from shopping and were already on there way to their apartment building. A rival gang ambushed them and shot Torrio multiple times, but he wasn't killed. Al Capone also known as Scarface was a 1920’s mob boss in the city of Chicago, Illinois. He came from a family of Italian immigrants and he was raised in New York City. Capone was part of a gang in New York until he got a invitation from Tarrio in 1920 to come to Chicago and join his mafia. But in 1925 Tarrio was almost killed in a shootout with a rival gang so he steps down from mob boss and hands the mafia to Capone. Once Al became the boss he started to sell whiskey which at the time was illegal because of Prohibition.

Al Capone was a very popular gangster who had five kids; one boy and four girls. Al Capone was a criminal and went to prison numerous times. He had a normal childhood with rough times here and there. The soon-to-be criminal went to a normal public school like any other kid. Al may have looked and sounded normal, but in the end he became a criminal.
He killed two men, but no one ever said they heard or saw it, so Capone never got tried in court. He kept up his violence by, beating up a rival gang member and sending him to the hospital. Yale didn't just send him there to have nothing to do. Once Capone got to Chicago he helped with a big brothel business.

He got away with the murder that happened on Valentine’s Day, which involved four of Moran’s men that were gunned down by Capone’s men. He was in Florida on vacation when this happened, but people still believed that he did it. That showed how much people blamed everything on him. Capone got away with many murders and taxes he had to pay, but eventually it caught up to him.
He taught children the right thing to do, even though he didn't do good things. In addition, Capone never sent any hits out on children. The plan was to get a bootlegger to lure Bugs Moran and his gang to a back alley where Capone 's men would dress like police officers and take the gangs guns then open fire and kill everyone. Just one small hiccup. Bugs Moran saw the Cop car before anyone else and ran away before capone 's men could kill him. Capone being smart planned his vacation and left when this was happening but the police and the media knew it was his planning. This made Capone famous.

Capone was raised around gangs in the city when he moved there from Naples and joined one in his teens called Johnny Torrio’s James Street Boys ran by Johnny Torrio. Later, he moved on to the Five Points Gang, which he graduated from. He got into a gang fight and someone cut his face with a razor hence the nickname “Scarface” (Grossman). When Torrio entered a brothel business he sent for Capone to be a bouncer at the saloon.
