Bo Jackson, one of the greatest athletes to ever live, played in both the National Football League and Major League Baseball. People remember Bo for his amazing feats of athleticism. Bo came from a very poor family in Bessemer, Alabama, where he dominated high school baseball, football, and track. Although, Bo was always the best at whatever he did, he was full of humility. Bo Jackson represents an epic hero because he faced multiple larger than life opponents, had fame across the country, and had what seemed like was supernatural strength.
During his college football career at Auburn, Bo played against Alabama, a team they had not beaten in ten years. With Bo on their team, Auburn finally ended the losing streak and beat Alabama. Later on …show more content…

Bo had a whole ad campaign centered around him for Nike. This campaign was everywhere in culture, from TV to magazines. Bo was also known across the country for his abilities in the video game Tecmo Bowl. Many considered it cheating to even pick the Raiders because of how good Bo Jackson was.
Bo Jackson was always great at all things dealing with sports. According to his high school coach, in eighth grade, Bo picked up a stick and dunked it into the basketball goal. During his high school baseball career, a scout came to see Bo take some batting practice. On the first pitch, Bo hit the ball into the corner of the cage, which started to shake from the impact and fell on top of Bo and his coach. Also, in the video, the Royals coach said that during Bo Jackson’s first major league batting practice, he had heard a noise that he had only heard three times in his life.
In retrospect, Bo Jackson was one of the greatest all around athletes to ever live. If you had not seen Bo in any commercials and just met him on the street, you would think he was just a very kind man that looked like he was the strongest person in the world. Although he has not been inducted into the Hall of Fame for Baseball or football, Bo Jackson had what seemed like supernatural strength, mass popularity and fame, and faced opponents that were thought to be unbeatable until Bo came
