Diane’s survivors include a daughter, Shawna Marie of Des Moines; her mother, Mrs. Marie Dalton of Des Moines; her father, Kenneth Dalton of Des Moines; two brothers, Robert and Martin, both of Des Moines; a half brother, Kenneth Valadez of Des Moines; and a sister, Twyla Dalton Johnson of Des Moines.
Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau was an American fashion designer and entrepreneur. She was born on November 10, 1931 in Roslyn, New York. She went to school at Miss Porter’s School with Jackie Kennedy. She had a good childhood and moved to Palm Beach with her husband to kick off her journey. There, she sold oranges to local businesses, but felt like she wanted a home for her business. A juice stand was opened by the wealthy Mrs. Pulitzer. Working there was messy, but she still wanted to remain fashionable, therefore creating the shift dress. Annette funicello was a singer and an actress as well as having multiple sclerosis, she was known for her lead role in Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Club. When she was younger her parents signed her up for dance class, to get over her shyness. She was scouted by Walt Disney himself. In 1955 Funicello was performing the lead role in “Swan Lake.” Walt Disney cast her as the 24th original Mousekeeper. Funicello recorded 15 albums in the late 1950s and late 1960s, which were all a hit. Annette Funicello was the most famous one on the mousekeeper, she got about 8,000 fan letters, all the rest got only about 800. She was in the “Beach Party” movie and her amazing voice just got her everywhere. Some guys even across the world asked if they could marry her, but of course she sent the rings and stuff back.

This led her to pursue her interests in art and design at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, which then she later transferred to Syracruse University. After graduating college, she dove into the fashion industry and got a job in the Madammoiselle magazine art department but soon later became an independent fashion designer. Anne Hollander was a woman who studied fashion, clothing, and style from the perspective of clothing as a form of art that revealed information about the wearer and the designer. Over the course of the story other characters join the family into hiding such as Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan, and their son Peter. During the time of hiding, Anne kept a diary to write down all her thoughts, fears, and feelings and was later known to be the most important piece of literature from the times of the Holocaust. The story takes you through their everyday lives of hiding in the annex which also includes arguing and times of happiness. The most important thing that the Franks and Van Daans went through was a time of fear. No matter how much happiness came through in their lives they always had fear jumbled up inside their heads.

When the Nazis invaded Amsterdam, Anne’s father took help from some local friends to hide in a complex of his office. The office is known commonly as the “Secret Annex.” Days were spent here in worry, but everyone kept each other alive with love and support. Anne wrote in her diary, which kept her motivated to live. For two years, her and 7 others hid in solitary. However, one day, they were caught and sent to concentration camps. Anne’s father, Otto Frank, was the only one from the Annex to survive. Otto Frank later published the motivation and stories of his daughter. The story of Anne Frank became a beloved and inspiring work of literature all around the world.
