Don Meredith
When Dallas Cowboys hear the name “Dandy” Don Meredith they always think bittersweet memories. The reason they think bitter is because he could never get the NFL Championship Dallas came so close to getting. The reason they think sweet is because he helped put them on track for a winning spirit and them to be unmatched in the NFL circles.
Don Meredith came to the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL in 1960. He came of a local Southern Methodist University. Cowboys fans expected their home town hero to lead the franchise(that is only 1 year old) to the promise land. Early in his football career he was tiny Eddie LeBaron’s understudy. His head coach(Tom Landry) had believed the quarterbacks needed five years of seasoning before they could

Their were going against the Baltimore Colts, after they finished the second NFL Eastern Division behind the Cleveland Browns. The game was not a pretty sight to see, losing 35-3, but it turned out to be the beginning of what turned out to be a common occurrence for the Cowboys going to the NFL playoffs.
That following year Dallas began their season whipping their first four opponents. Out of those four games they averaged a 45 points a game. After that the league knew they were to reckoned with. At the end of the year Dallas upended Cleveland as Eastern Division Champions. They also won the right to the Green Bay Packers at the Cotton Bowl. Also 1966 was the first year they had a Super Bowl. The game was called AFL/NFL World Championship. So the Dallas-Green Bay game would be very important, because the winners would earn the right to go to play the Afl reprensentatives.
Dallas put up a very tough fight getting back into the game after they fell behind 14-0.Intimidating the Cowboys was impossible that day. Vince Lombardi’s Packers were in for fight of their dignity and their

The ball was deep in Green Bay territory with Dallas having the possession, down 34-27. A short pass was called by Landry to Pettis Norman, he is usually used as a blocker and not a receiver. Landry’s choice of plays did not have much confidence with Don Meredith. Frustration was transpired from it. On the play Norman was wide open, but Meredith was not suspecting Norman in that position and Meredith threw the ball short. Norman, instead of getting a good throw and catching it and running to the end zone, he had to run back for the ball and got tackled by Green Bay at the two yard line. On the subsequent play, a pass into the end zone, Dave Robinson a rookie linebacker hit Meredith. The pass flew out of control and went into Packer safety Tom Brown instead of Dandy
Final Term Paper 1 The Dallas Cowboys, the one NFL football team recognized around the world. Not only for their success in the NFL in recent years, but mostly for how wealthy the brand has become nowadays. The Dallas Cowboys have won a total of 5 Super Bowls and have been really successful in their conference and division since the 1900’s. Recently, they have not been doing well in the NFL.
If you're of a certain age, Roger Staubach is front and center in some of the greatest memories of a golden era of Cowboys football, years in which the marketing slogan "America's Team" felt like it actually might apply. Some of us grew up thinking that every Dallas team was this good, because when Roger played, the Cowboys pretty much always
Walter Iooss Jr. is a Sports Illustrated Photographer who captured the famous catch by Dick Clark in 1981 NFC Championship game. Iooss had followed the Dallas Cowboys for the whole 1981 season. He was bonding with people from the organization as if he was truly a part of it. Because of this, once he took the picture, he was so devastated for the team he forgot he had just taken an unbelievable picture. Iooss stated, “It was the worst thing that could’ve happened for the Cowboys, but I had to let go of personal issues and relationships and be a professional, whether you’re rooting for someone or not.
This is one Thanksgiving the Dallas Cowboys would rather soon forget. The team saw their miniscule playoff hopes extinguished completely after a 33-17 shellacking from the undefeated Carolina Panthers put their record at a disappointing 3-8. What 's even worse is the fact that the team will have to trudge through the remainder of their season without starting quarterback Tony Romo, who reinjured his left collarbone that forced him to miss seven straight contests earlier this season. The season ending play occurred at the end of the third quarter, when Romo was sacked by Panthers Linebacker Thomas Davis.
ACME dropped the team after they were kicked out. Then, they became the Green Bay Packers, Inc. (Birth). Later the Packers signed a future Hall of Famer, Don Hutson. He played 11 seasons for the Packers, winning three championships (‘36, ‘39, ‘44) and retired with 18 major NFL records (Birth).
Aikman had his best season ever, completing 64 percent of his passes for 3,445 yards and 23 touchdowns. Dallas finished the season 13-3, won the NFC east division title, and entered the playoffs on a roll. Aikman’s performance in the super bowl against the Buffalo Bills turned out to be one of the best of all time. Showing a steady hand under great pressure, Aikman led the cowboys to a 52-17 thrashing of the Bills, who lost their third straight Super Bowl Game. Aikman won the game’s
Dallas vs. Eagles Game Well in my opinion we should start with the part that everyone has been talking about. For this we will jump straight into the third quarter with 9:45 left on the clock when Tony Romo, the Dallas Cowboys, breaking his collar bone from a nasty tackle by Jordan Hicks. This is the second time that T. Romo has broken his collar bone in his career. This became a huge deal as Dallas only has 1 backup quarterback and if he gets injured then it is basically over for the Cowboys.
The patriots trailing with less than 2 minutes ended up with the ball and great football and Tom drove them down the field to set up yet another game winning field goal as time expired to submit them in nfl history as a dynasty. The following season yet again the Patriots compiled a record of 14-2 in the regular season and once again were going to the super bowl. This time they were facing the Philadelphia Eagles this time the teams were even this was a very close game untl the Patriots scored 10 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to win 24-21 the teams 3rd championship in 4 years they were the 2nd team to do

In the Nation Football League (NFL), Pat Tillman played the position of a Left Back, a position that requires a lot of pushing and tackling. The sport of football is taken for granted by many considering that all the players put their lives at risk each and every game. If Tillman tackled someone, he could become the bottom of a large dog pile which stopped his breathing. For instance, one NFL player sufferred such a big hit that he cracked his ribs (Voperian). Tillman started playing at a young age, and therefore could have sufferred from severe brain damage, or any other injury which could have cost him hise life or a permanent handicap.
“Since early in the 20th century, Thanksgiving Day football was a major tradition and part of high school football around the country,” Ray Schmidt, a football historian says, “It was the day that the big arch-rivals always met”. Thanksgiving Day played an important role in the league’s season. Richards was able to sell his product on that notion. He arranged the first ever national broadcast of a football game with NBC. At home, the team sold 26,000 tickets filling the University of Detroit’s stadium.
Alec Michaud Mr. Bergmann Sophomore Honors English II P6 10 October 2016 Lambeau Field, a Mark on History The ground below is rattling to the thunderous beat of rambunctious spectators with the anticipation of the battle that is set to be fought on this very field! The senseless chaos ceases as a loud roar erupts from the stands as the Green Bay Packers emerge from the tunnel. “With 13 super bowl rings and 53 postseason appearances it’s easy to say that Green Bay is one of the most dominant teams in the NFL” (Packers team Records). The iconic team has many notable attributes that set them apart, but one of the most recognizable is there historic stadium, Lambeau Field.
It's odd for players to turn down the best closer of all owners, Jerry Jones. In my eyes if the Cowboys want a player bad enough, that player will end up wearing a star on their helmet. The Cowboys must've not wanted any of those free agents bad enough and there's a very logical reason why. Learning from past mistakes.

but the ball was slippery for the quarterback and he keep on stumbling with the ball and he kept on fumbling but we tried to still get the ball back and they still got it back. They threw the ball right over us and there wide receiver caught the ball Still and we tried to play defense and we got beat every time.
