Hammurabi was a king who ruled a small city-state named Babylonia. Hammurabi ruled Babylonia for 42 years for 30 years he was limited to only Babylonia, he was involved in lots of quarrels with other kings of other small city-states. After that in 1792 BCE he became the ruler of much of Ancient Mesopotamia. He ruled over an estimated amount of 1 million people . After this triumph, he wrote a set of laws that are now called Hammurabi’s code.
Another reason is “If a married lady is caught [in adultery] with another man, they shall bind them and cast them into water.” This is also a very harsh punishment. The last law is law 148. The last reason is, “If a man has married a wife and a disease has seized her, if he is determined to marry a second wife, he shall marry her. He shall not divorce the wife whom the disease has seized. She shall dwell in the house they have built together, and he shall maintain her as long as she lives.” This is unjust because you should not leave your sick wife alone and marry another woman.
In the 38th year of his rule, Hammurabi had 282 laws carved on a large pillar like stone called stele. Some laws varied according to whether you were either higher class or lower class, and whether you were a man or a woman. Hammurabi’s Code was not just because the punishments were cruel and some were gruesome. Children were not treated as well as adults, even though his laws were supposed to protect woman and young children. Hammurabi’s code was based off the saying “an eye for an eye.” Some people probably could not even read what the writing
This isn’t alignments confined simply to the British Isles. They can be found the world over such as the pyramids of ancient Egypt, the cliff dwellings of the Native Americans, the temples of Peru and the ancient temples of China. The two Solstices and two Equinoxes certainly must be the oldest holidays known to us, and they were known across the planet. These four days are sometimes known as the "quarter-days", meaning they appear each quarter of the year. The four "Greater Sabbats" or "High Holidays" of the Witches calendar may seem slightly less obvious at first.

King Arthur was said to be a great king, who ruled over Camelot in the fifth or sixth century. King Arthur estimated to have been born around 475 A.D., “Tintagel has come to be associated with King Arthur as his birthplace, depicted by the Welsh monk Geoffrey of Monmouth” (Walker para 5). Arthurian Literature commonly depicted daring sword fights, chivalrous knights, damsels in distress and even magic. Though there are few records of a true King Arthur does not mean there is not a man behind the great legend that came forth in the mid twelfth century. “The legend of King Arthur may have been based on the life of one or more Celtic warriors who fought the Anglo-Saxon invaders of England in the late fifth and early sixth century.” (Wiggins 171), this could mean that there was more than one King Arthur in history or more than one inspiration for the legend.

Watergate showed the many flaws that the government had at the time Many people do not know why Watergate occurred when Richard Nixon was leading in many states through his reelection campaign in 1972, he won every single state except Massachusetts basically he was destined to be president again (Hughes). Nixon was already a popular choice as a president as many people liked him because he was slowly removing troops from the not liked war that was the,Vietnam War. Many people of the United States have heard about Watergate and how Nixon is involved, he had a lot of public support from people all over the country for his efforts with dealing of the Vietnam War and other foreign affairs.
