Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519) was the greatest in his era he was a painter, architect, inventor, and loved everything to do with science. Leonardo Da Vinci is known for his beautiful works of art, two of his most famous being the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. Leonardo Da Vinci connected art to science in a way no one had done before. Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the greatest artist of all time and it shows in his work and determination. Leonardo Da Vinci was born in Anchiano, Tuscany which is now Italy.

He was what people would consider a bastard child because his parents were not married when he was born. Da Vinci was raised by his father, Messer Piero Fruosino di Antonio da Vinci until the age of five where he was sent to live with his grandparents.
Even though he didn’t invent the telescope, he was the first person to use the optical instrument to systematically study space. He also improved the telescope by learning about the device, and in the fall of 1609, he pointed it at the moon, and he discovered that it had craters and mountains. He invented an improved the telescope that let him observe the moons of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn, the phases of Venus, sunspots, and lunar surface. He also found out that Jupiter had moons. His discoveries disturbed the catholic church, but he preserved through the consequences, and now is a famous person in history.
