Selena Quintanilla was a young, beautiful, and well-loved singer, that became the Queen of Tejano and I want to know how she got her success and the honor of becoming the Queen of Tejano and how she was murdered.
The Queen of Tejano was born on April 16, 1917, she was a Texas girl. She matured into a young adult with her father. Her father had a band and at age 10 she was the leader of the band. Selena was a talented young woman. She was a fearless, bold and energetic sing. In every performance, Selena made her father was satisfied with her accomplishments.
Selena Quintanilla became the Queen of Tejano, by the type of music styles she sang. She also became the Mexican Madonna by the moves, she would do in her performances. Selena was cherished by many Mexicans. The reason why Selena was admired so much was because Selena pushed herself when it came to situations that weren’t in her comfort zone. For example, her first language wasn’t Spanish. It was English and she was more comfortable with her English singing skills; her father pushed her to sing in Spanish as well.

They started to argue about business matters, very loudly. Neighbors heard them arguing, then shortly after heard one gun shot. Selena ran out the room, and ran all the way to the lobby to get help from the front desk. Selena collapsed, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Selena died on March 31st, 1995 at 11:48am.

The person who was accused of First-Degree murder was a woman called Yolanda Saldivar. Saldivar is the founder and president of the Selena Fan club and the manager of one of Selena’s boutiques. In early March of 1995, there was a meeting between Selena, Saldivar, and Selena’s family about a money situation.

Apparently Yolanda was stealing money from Selena’s fan club and was trying to hide it. Selena’s father, Abraham, informs Selena about this and they confront Yolanda together. Obviously Yolanda wouldn 't admit to it right away. In a panic, knowing that she was found, Yolanda met with Selena and ended up shooting her in the back. The accident became fatal and Selena passed away.

After achieving so much success in Tejano music Selena wanted to crossover to American music. She started recording the album “Dreaming of you” but sadly she did live to see her album success. Selena was murder on March 31, 1995. Even though Selena died the album “Dreaming of you” was released.
