South University VICTIM OF THE GOLDEN STATE KILLER
The Golden State Killer was a serial killer and rapist that terrorized the state of California in the 1970’s and 1980’s. “Former police officer Joseph James DeAngelo, 72, was arrested at his home Tuesday after DNA linked him to crimes attributed to the so-called Golden State Killer and he initially was charged with eight counts of murder and could face dozens more charges, authorities said” (Thompson and Melley, 2018). DeAngelo is suspected of being responsible for at least twelve (12) killings and fifty (50) rapes during this time period. He targeted women between the ages of 13-41 by sneaking into their homes as they slept. DeAngelo is responsible for a lot of women living in fear for all of these years because he was still at large, until now. DeAngelo faces a series of charges for these rapes that can cause him to spend the rest of his life in prison or possibly even death.

Before he raped her, he removed her son from the bed and replaced him after he was finished. “Carson-Sandler, now 72, wants to face her attacker in person and ask how long he had been watching her and what he did with her son during the attack (Bollag, 2018). Carson-Sandler wrote a book about her experience titled Frozen in Fear and speaks to other rapists in prison about how this rape has affected her life (Bollag, 2018). Carson-Sandler is relieved to have the killer finally be caught and awaits her day in
It’s been 4 years since the killing of Trayvon Martin and the verdict still hasn’t ended the debate about his death. Many supporters believe that his murder was a cowardly act by one George Zimmerman who shot and killed Martin. It was the night of February 26 when Martin went to a nearby 7-eleven to buy himself a snack. Wearing the hood of his grey shirt over his head, he paid the store clerk and left. He was walking back to his father’s house, where he was staying after he had been suspended from school.
By late 1979, the Golden State Killer, now known as Joseph DeAngelo, was targeting people in southern California. He continued to rape female victims, then brutally murdered them and their male partners (if present). Ten people (four heterosexual couples and two individual women) were killed by the Golden State Killer in Santa Barbaras, Ventura and Orange Counties between 1979 and 1986. Since the burglaries, rapes, and murders were spread out geographically, authorities attributed the varying crime sprees to different people.
The Unexpected Life Of O.J Simpson Hi we are the parents of Ron Goldman and in this story I would be writing about the murder trial of my son and his friend Nicole Brown. They were both murdered in 1994 in the house of Nicole Brown in Los Angeles, the suspect was the homeowner O.J Simpson but when police got their he wasn’t there was a manhunt for him in his white Bronco truck. First we would be talking about O.J Simpson life before this happened.
He was raped six times in a row. The police were never able to catch the people who did it. He had to go through many
A note containing a series of numbers was found in the hotel room where the Las Vegas massacre was fired, investigators believe that those numbers helped the gunman to make his shots more precise. These numbers included the distance between the height of the room and the concert. It still has not been possible to determine what caused Paddock to carry out the shooting. Vice President Mike Pence showed up at a prayer service in Las Vegas on Saturday to remind victims of the attack. He said that the memory of the victims of the massacre would be engraved in the hearts of the Americans.
“Racial profiling punishes innocent individuals for the past actions of those who look and sound like them…” Civil Rights activist, Benjamin Jealous’ words are very relevant to the case of Trayvon Martin. Trayvon Martin was murdered at age seventeen by George Zimmerman. Zimmerman was a neighborhood watch patrol in his neighborhood, where Martin also lived. Zimmerman called 911 to report Martin as a “real suspicious guy” “a black male” walking around the neighborhood. Martin wore a hoodie on his way home from 7-Eleven with intentions of going home, but Zimmerman continued to follow Martin.
With this murder, it might be possible to draw a link between the East Area Rapist and the Original Night Stalker. DeAngelo didn't kill again until February 1981, this time a lady whose husband was in the hospital. DeAngelo murdered a second husband and wife on July 27, 1981, bringing the total number of murders performed by the Original Night Stalker to nine. In California, DeAngelo suddenly ended his eight-year tyranny of
Jeffrey Dahmer created a tidal wave of horror, disgust, and dismay when the nation learned of the macabre crimes of necrophilia and dismemberment that followed the murder and rape of seventeen young men and boys. Spanning from 1978 to 1991, Dahmer lead victims to their deaths by luring the men to his home and committing acts of utmost sin, claiming he was searching for “what [had] caused [him] to be so bad and evil” (15 Life Terms). Despite his plea for insanity, after a span of thirteen years, Dahmer received his sentence of fifteen life terms and no parole. Although Jeffrey Dahmer pleaded for death, his sentencing does not effectively punish his actions, for no punishment is applicable due to the absence of Dahmer’s empathy towards mankind.
OJ Simpson was a very achieved person player until he made one big mistake. The trial of OJ Simpson was a long stressful process to prove a star innocent or guilty of murder. This took Place in the state of California on October 3, 1995. OJ was tried for a murder crime of his ex-wife and another man. In the end OJ turned out to be not guilty of this crime.
“Society 's posture on rape, and the manifestation of that posture in the courts, help account for the fact that so few rapes are reported” (Anonymous 247). This quote from The Rape of Mr. Smith relates to this scene because Brandon went through a terrible thing, that no person should have to go through, and he was interrogated about it and shown no compassion. “The law discriminates against rape victims in a manner which would not be tolerated by victims of any other crime” (Anonymous 246). This quote also
Black Dahlia Murder In 1947 the tragic loss of Elizabeth Short shocked many people all over the world. This wasn’t your typical murder, this murder had to have been planned out and thought about for a while before its happening. The “Black Dahlia Murder” is the biggest unsolved case in Los Angeles and is still an undergoing investigation. I have reason to believe that Dr. Gorge Hodel is the murderer behind the brutality of Elizabeth Short’s body.

A serial killer can best be described as a person who commits a series or murders, often with no apparent motive and typically following a characteristic, predictable behavior pattern. A disturbing fact about serial killers is that most of them should be eminently identifiable. Serial killers commit their acts specifically in one place, therefore, give the residents of the community, its police force, and even their neighbors ample opportunity to find out what they are. The fact they are not caught is attributed to three factors. The first being the characteristics of the victims, which in Jeffrey Dahmer's case he prayed mostly on gay men.
