On June 13, 1994 one of the most controversial court cases rose to the surface when the bodies of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman were discovered, stabbed to death outside of Brown’s apartment in Los Angeles, California. Brown’s former husband, OJ Simpson, who is also recognized as one of the National Football League’s most memorable Heisman winners, became the Los Angeles Police Department’s primary suspect. Staggering evidence revealed in the trial pointed the finger at Simpson as being responsible for the horrific murders, which he was found guilty for in a minor court system. This was due to the observation that the jury for the Simpson case was mostly black men and women. There were twelve jurors in the case, and nine were of black race, two were white, and one was hispanic. In fact, one of the Jury members in the Simpson case, Carrie Bess, claimed in the documentary The People Vs. OJ Simpson , that she was of 90 percent of the jurors plotting for revenge from the King verdict. Bess admitted to stating Simpson was not guilty in his trial due to the Rodney King verdict in an interview for the documentary. Bess also claimed that she believes he had committed the crimes. He was not the only one who had been murdered. O.J.’s ex wife, Nicole Brown-Simpson, was included. Within the crime scene, there were a set of footsteps and a pair of gloves. Someone had seen O.J. Simpsons near Nicole’s house. Found in his vehicle, is blood stains which was similar to Nicole Simpson’s blood.
Due to the lack of DNA evidence provided by the prosecution OJ’s attorney, Johnny Cochran was able to convince the jury that OJ was innocent. OJ and his wife Nicole sometimes had fights and arguments. Nicole called the cops to file a report that OJ abused his her. The defense turned the murder trial into a race riot portraying the lead detective at the crime scene, Mark Fuhrman, as a racist and discrediting the evidence by suggesting he planted it to frame an innocent black man (Bonesteel). The defense did a brilliant job of distracting the jury from the evidence against O.J. and bringing their attention to the racist failures of the LAPD. OJ Simpson was a very achieved person player until he made one big mistake. The trial of OJ Simpson was a long stressful process to prove a star innocent or guilty of murder. Simpson was guilty because of the large amount of evidence against him. From the beginning, police were unable to immediately apprehend Simpson because he led them on a low-speed pursuit. When he was finally stopped, police found $8,000 in cash, a loaded handgun, a passport, and a fake goatee and mustache in the vehicle, clearly suggesting that he intended on fleeing the country (Bugliosi). I believe the large amount of DNA evidence matching O.J. Simpson that was found at the scene of the crime was also a clear indication of his guilt. Unfortunately, due to the lack of understanding on the part of the jury as well as the mishandling of the evidence on the part of the prosecution, it was not as powerful as it could have been.

O.J. Simpson was a famous football player and that was accused of killing his ex-wife nicole brown , also her boyfriend Ron Goldman. They were brutally stabbed to death on June 12, 1994 at the resident of Nicole brown condo in Brentwood. Before the bodies were ever recovered Oj had packed his bags and caught a flight to Chicago, later he received a phone call saying that Nicole Brown was murder. The cops wanted to talk to him and later he had lead the cops on a hot pursuit chase and they apprehended him.
