Office of Residential Life. My experiences have taught me how to build strong relationships with different groups. In the past, I have explored other options and have since built a clearer vision for my professional goals; as I want to reach my full capacity with an organization I believe in. My abilities are backed by my experiences and knowledge. I assure you that this will allow me to successfully help ensure a safe living environment, where residential students feel welcomed and comfortable with their living arrangements, as we work together to build a strong community and Stockton family.
A college education is important to me because it helps secure my future. An education help me secure a well paying job to support a husband, children, family members, and also the community. With a college education, it will help build background knowledge and skills for the future in and out of work. The knowledge acquired in college will help make decision making easier, help with tasks at home, and solve problems. The skills I learn in college will give me more confidence in my future job- which I plan on going into nursing.
Starting off my list of goals I want to start by finishing my school year out strong and work to my best ability to accomplish them. An example of a goal I have is to make it on the all A honor roll for all four quarters, and to receive the scholarships that I applied for. Other goals that come to mind is getting into the college I applied for, and sustain a high GPA to accomplish other goals at college. With these goals I have set for my life ahead, it will help me work to my highest potential. Another goal I have is to be a great leader/ role model for not only my family, underclassmen, but my community.
I believe that the mission of a student ambassador is to promote the vision, growth and quality of University of Maryland, by optimizing the experience of current students, prospective students and special guests. I would like to be a student ambassador primarily because I want to get more involved with the university; not to mention the positive impact it will have on my CV. I would also gain experience in public speaking, building friendships with fellow ambassadors and develop my leadership skills. Furthermore, this offers a responsibility that can be both challenging and extremely rewarding. As a student ambassador, I will actively participate, inspiring pride in Maryland University, upholding university’s reputation and serving as liaisons between students and administration.
I take responsible for my actions when things go wrong rather than look for others to blame. I am a person who is committed to constructing something larger for the benefit of others rather than personal gain. I am a person who believes in teamwork and open communication. I also believe that my time as a student ambassador on the LSUA campus and as a nursing student in clinical has allow me to gain the experience that I need in the leadership role. These are all qualities that I hope to bring with me if I am granted membership.
Being so close to home will allow me to branch out and experience life while also having a sense of familiarity with the area that I have grown to know and love. I also really embrace the Seahawk life as a whole and have really taken notice as of late at just how much school spirit there is around the campus, which is something that I really value. My major which is not entirely offered at UNC Wilmington is very important to me as I strive to become an athletic director, but I have spoken to a few people that are taking the same career path as me that have told me that the admissions department was eager to work with them to piece together exactly the courses they need. The entire atmosphere just makes me feel more comfortable than other places that I have the options of being and when I see myself in the next years I see myself at UNC Wilmington. This would be the best decision for me not just for the reasons mentioned above, but for my well being in order for me to
The issue of academic dishonesty becoming a habit if it is successful resonates with me. In my opinion, cheating does in fact become an acceptable ubiquitous habit if academic dishonesty is not addressed. In conclusion, one lifelong benefit of practicing academic integrity is making habit of being honest and trustworthy in all situations through one’s life. A personal vision of mine is that one day all students will uphold academic integrity and no additional pressure will be placed on students to cheat. My advice to being a morally upright college student is to never waste time getting distracted by things that will not help you in the future.
According to Jeff Mcguire (N.D.) “College education acts as the key to a successful future to individuals who are serious with it. It provides a financial security and helps a person build a remarkable reputation. Personally, it has helped me to have a competitive edge in the workforce. Through the various skills I have acquired in college, I can work in various companies across the globe. Currently, college education has become the minimum requirement in securing a job in various companies.” College education does not only help students to acquire

Integrity is fundamental to everything we do in college, I don’t think we can have genuine learning without integrity. The important thing about academic integrity is that’s what learning is all about. It provides an opportunity for an academic institution to come together as a community, because it provides the legitimacy to the pursuits of all students. For example, would you like to go to a doctor who
I do understand that it 's difficult to find the dedication to push through college and create a safety net for yourself but I also love the career that I have chosen. Every single one of my qualities have pointed me towards this path. My good memory, my belief in social justice. my love for politics, and even my disappointment with the US Immigration system has led me to the decision that the only way I can fight what I don 't agree with is to educate and better myself. I want to be the reason that my mom believes fully in the American dream again.
