The purpose of my ignite speech is to persuade current SMSU students to become a Resident Assistant. My target audience is SMSU students that have lived on campus for at least one semester. I am qualified to give this speech because currently I am a RA of Camaraderie a traditional house that is co-ed and mixed classes.
I am giving the audience information about Resident Life and details of the applications. I start with what Resident Life promotes and how we accomplish that with programs and house involvement to build Mustang community. Ra’s promote programs in the resident halls, in the Marshall community and campus wide events such as SAC, RHA, and Dinning Services. I put the details of the application on four slides to describe and list the qualifications and clarify what candied statements are for the application process.

First one I used in my ignite speech is Hannah Dalzell. She shared her option in what characteristics to look for in future applicants. Next I talk about spring training and how you meet the new staff, find out your placement, and hear about the job requirements such as programing, desk shift, duty rounds, and confidentially agreements. Summer training starts on D2L and ends in on Gold Rush Days in August. RA at summer training listen to speakers for a variety of offices at SMSU so we can be better equipped to answer questions and know where to point a student in the right direction. Also at summer training staff does team bonding through games, eating, and lots of ice breakers. We get the change to improve the community by doing ditch cleanup and community services by donating our time and hard work at a local camp for a day. Then I explain how RA’s have resources to use for the job such as the color printer in Noatha, resource room in Commons West, and access to a lamination
Cecily Strong is a comedian of the famous and popular show Saturday Night Live on NBC. She often works with her coworkers to made fun of what happening in the world. As a comedian, many of her jokes fall into the category of dry sarcasm. So, it is important to take that into consideration when watching the speeches she gives.
I demonstrate my outstanding achievements in service through the clubs and teams I participate in. I’ve organized many teen outreach events targeted towards middle and high schoolers such as lock-ins and dances, but I have also organized community service events targeted for the whole base, for example barbeques. A recent example of this would be the Ramstein Color Run taking place next month. Being a Girl Scout for 7 years taught me to appreciate and enjoy taking action in the community. From a young age, I became used to helping around my community.
Hello, Ms. Mizolla, The recent events that have taken place on our campus have gotten me thinking. I love Branson and the students at Branson very much. I want to help in any way I can to ensure Branson is a loving and safe environment for every student. In order to make this a reality, students need to feel they are never alone. I want students to feel like they have someone to talk to whenever they need someone.

ESSAY ONE (minimum 300 words) -Community can be defined as a number of people living in the same area and linked by common values, practices, and goals (Spitzberg & Thorndike, 1992). Describe an experience in which you made a positive difference in a community you are a member of. What did you learn about the concept of “communities” from this experience, and how do you see these lessons playing out when forming a community in Honors Housing? One way that I dedicate time to my community is by volunteering at my local YMCA. I volunteered for SNAP (Special Needs Adaptive Program), where once a week, I would help a student with one-on-one swimming instruction.

Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s Morrill Scholarship Program: Diversity is dynamic and inclusive; a destination and a pathway we travel to model 21st century global citizenship. Diversity matters because the exchange of ideas matter and because no one person or group has all the answers; it helps us to know ourselves in all our multiple dimensions and know each other better. How has the neighborhood you grew up in, the school(s) you attended, and/or your family background shaped your personal and/or educational experiences? How might these personal and/or educational experiences enable you to contribute something unique to The Ohio State University? Note: Don’t forget to provide examples.
I am currently a Resident Assistant (RA) in Noehren Hall at the University of Northern Iowa. I came to UNI with limited knowledge about the field of Student Affairs or the impact it has on college campuses. When I became an RA my sophomore year, I instantly fell in love with how I was able to use my passion to connect and build strong relationships with those around me. I currently am in my second year of being a resident assistant here at UNI in a traditional dormitory. I have also gotten involved in SAA here at UNI.
Please accept my resume to showcase my interest in the position of Resident Assistant. I believe that I am an excellent candidate due to my leadership ability, my academic achievement, and my overall attitude. I am a firm believer in academia being the top priority while in college and I have proven this attitude through my performance over the past semester. As a Political Science and International Business double major at Monmouth College, who is on the Pre-Law track, I aspire to work in politics one day as a Political Campaign Manager. My academic attitude, I believe, is important for a Resident Assistant to hold because as a RA, one should be a role model for the other members of the hall.
Resident Assistants serve many purposes and play many roles in the community. They help to build and promote a supportive and active community within their residence hall and across the campus, and offer support and guidance to their residents. This aids in making Geneseo feel more like home and a community rather than simply a school. RAs enforce Geneseo and Department of Student Life rules, while also being a more easily accessible and less intimidating resource to other students in need of help. I want to be an RA so that I can become more involved in the Geneseo community in a positive way, by helping and representing other students.

Good morning/afternoon all. An influence is something that has had an effect on character or behaviour of someone. There have been many influences that have affected my life, though there are four main influences that have primarily affected my life in different ways. My main influences are my family, the environment, science, and technology. These have affected my past, present, and future.

Family Family is one of the greatest gift and blessing from the Lord. Without family you can not feel love, care , satisfaction and happiness. They are the most treasured blessing that no one can take away from us. It is also like a fragile thing you consider as the most precious gem in your whole life. Family is a basic unit in the society traditionally consisting of parents and children.
