Why do you want to be a Resident Assistant again next year? I want to be a RA next year again to keep improving the lives of students on campus through building community, planning programs, and being available to residents. First I want to build community by making everyone in my house feel welcome and appreciated. Welcoming starts on move in day and continues throughout the year with conversations and having an open.
A Resident Assistant plays a very key part of one’s college experience. They do a lot that you probably won’t even realize until later. Most people simply think of a RA as someone that “breaks up” the party, or doesn’t allow you to be loud during quiet hours, etc. The Resident Assistant does in fact enforce policies (for the respect of everyone), but they do more than just that.
1a: Residential Care and Institutional Care may seem similar because they both provide services for the sick and needy, but they differ in other significant aspects. Residential Care offers personalized service, lodging, meals and assistance with daily living activities to groups of persons who are in need. It can be deemed a home away from home, where the adults who reside there, if some of them are well enough; they can also be visiting residents and are able to participate in everyday activities, whilst they can make choices for themselves. Therefore, a residential care home is a place where persons would have chosen to be because of the liberality and accessibility of the facility. 1b: Institutional Care replicates Residential care,
Resident Advisors fulfill many requirements from mentor to role model to someone of spectacular organizational skills. It’s important for a Resident Advisor to be someone that residents can come to when they’re struggling in any aspect of their life and that advisor can direct them to the resources that are available here on campus for that problem. I understand that it would be my responsibility to create a safe space for my residents where they feel that they can be themselves and that they are at home. It’s also my responsibility to watch out for the well-being of my residents since for many of them this will be the first time they will be away from home. I believe that an excellent Resident Advisor ensures that each and every resident
There is a list of reasons which are important to receiving a certificate in medical assisting. Imagine putting challenging work into classes and exams but having nothing to show for it. That is how most employers will see a MA over a CMA (certified medical assistant). Being employed and getting a job is of the most importance in becoming a nationally credentialed medical assistant. After employment comes the pay rate and how likely it is to keep the job.
The most important part of data collecting is finding the people or places to study, establish contact, and then build a rapport (Creswell, 2013). This is still a daunting task for me because there are not many if any transitional homes in my area. Thus far, the transitional homes are located in Chicago. Once approved by the IRB it is my hope that I can contact one of these agencies. If I have resistance I am hoping to share with them my previous research and hopefully that will be my way in because transitional homes are very strict on who they let inside the home.
At my physician office, the staff always dress and act professionally. I have been going to my physician since I was 6, I have even job shadowed my physician. I do not recall a time my physician or his staff has ever been unprofessional. They are always dressed in scrubs or business casual. As a medical assistant, you can ensure your professional appearance by a few steps: always wear scrubs
Resident Assistants are like Jailers, and the Dorm seems like a prison. At least that was the case prior to the establishment of the Dorm Council. I’ve never lived in a Dorm before, which was my first experience that I had to share my space with roommates, strictly follow a pre-determined schedule, and be answerable to somebody outside of my family. After living one year in Dorm, I believed that some Dorm rules need to be changed. Dorm Council was founded in order to meet boarding students’ needs.
To form well-equipped Medical Office Assistants who will be trained throughout the program in becoming knowledgeable on core medical competencies and develop a professional character, including effective intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. Certified Medical Office Assistants will be competent to efficiently serve a vital role in the healthcare field, performing different tasks and working in conjunction with health care providers, they will truly be able to say that patients receive better care, and have better lives, because of them.
I am the employee that is the first to arrive to work and last to leave, the student who picks up the slack when other group members don’t hold up their end of the assignment, the friend that is always there when you call on them, and the mentor that will do anything to ensure my mentee is always at his/her best. Reflecting all of these attributes is my only weakness; always going above and beyond without reward although it may go unnoticed and sometimes can be exhausting. It is a passion of mine to extend a helping hand to others and watch others grow to reach their full potential as I have. Hopefully, I will be that Residential Assistant that residents feel that they can call on whether I am on or off the clock. In terms of strengths, I will examine two strengths outside of the cliché hardworking, critical thinking, and professional strengths commonly named.
