Binondo is one of the sixteen districts in Manila that was founded in 1594 created by Spanish Governor Luis Pérez Dasmariñas as a permanent settlement for Chinese immigrants. Binondo have ten (10) barangays were Barangay 292 is the largest barangay in Binondo. The area size of Binondo is 0.66 square kilometers or 1.7%of Manila’s total size of 38.55 square kilometers. According to 2010 census, Binondo is having 12,985 populations.
The first luxury hotel in the Philippines is located in Binondo, Manila that was erected in January 1889 owned by Don Manuel Perez Marqueti, where the Metrobank is currently occupied; the hotel named was Hotel De Oriente (Lougopal, 2013). Beside of the Hotel de Oriente are the La Insular Cigar and Cigarette Factory that were established in 1883 according to Hyman’s National Cigar Museum’s website (BCS, 2008). The named Oriente and La Insular were used by Ramada Manila hotel as the name of their premiere lounge meeting rooms. Formulated questionnaires were presented to the faculty adviser for comments and suggestions to help the researcher and respondents. Upon reviewing and approval of prepared questionnaires, the researcher made pre-tested survey. The respondents in the trial were not included anymore in the final distribution of the questionnaire.
After the pre-test has been carried out, using Cronbach’s alpha, internal environment got a total of 0.89 and it is a good reliability. External environment has 0.90 in general result of good reliability. External environment for promotion got very high reliability result. For 7Ps of marketing mix, it also got very high reliability of 0.94 and the problems encountered of 0.97 with very high reliability results.
Research Protocol The researcher followed the processes, procedures and seeking approval in conducting the study from start to finish.
