For instance while thinking about the synthesized essay and the amount of resources needed to write it, I made a plan which helped me manage everything on time. Planning for the structure of my essay helped me use a good amount of recourses and write a good essay. Since I am still in my Freshman year I think that such skills are going to be very helpful in the future. I think that I will be using what I learned from this course in many other courses including, Surveying lab, writing 204, and many other courses. This shows how significant this course
I then found additional quotes from credible sources that could further support my argument and used them to make an annotated bibliography. Next, I collaborated with two of my peers in order to peer edit each other's essays and then made these changes to my essay. Finally, I added in the additional quotes from my annotated bibliography sources. I have gotten better at this kind of work because I have learned how to expand my vocabulary and use formal language with less dead verbs. I have improved greatly upon this, but I have room to improve even more.
For example, my last essay involved critical thinking where I chose to apply the same material from a previous essay but had to fashion the ideas in a totally different way. Outside the classroom or virtual cyberspace, my mind has begun to open up and learn new things which have allowed me to see that my processing problem is improving and can be overcome as I continue to learn and develop my writing, reading, and thinking skills. Having examined how I have grown as a writer, reader, and critical thinker, I can observe the writing assignments that I enjoyed and had the most difficulty composing in English
So far in AP Language and Composition, we have learned how to critically analyze texts using rhetorical and literary analysis. I feel comfortable with literary analysis because of how frequently and often I have been doing it in the past couple of years. Regarding rhetorical analysis we have learned diverse types of appeals used in rhetoric, appealing to a reader’s emotions using pathos, an ethical appeal using ethos, or appealing to a reader’s logic using logos. These skills and concepts are completely new to me and I am still beginning to understand how to use these appeals in my writing strategically. However, I feel more confident in finding these appeals in other rhetorical texts, including ads and speeches, because of how much practice
I look back at all the different forms I’ll be writing and how much advancement I’ve have come too. The way I was writing before and after has really upgraded. I would see my work before and after and now am really shocked to see how much I’ve changed. Starting from the very first days in the class doing pre-writing journals, then moving to bigger assignments like doing different essays like the Memoir and analyzing Rhetorical Analysis were a drastic change. Learning certain chapters and lessons my fellow classmates taught us really helped, for example learning

It also made me realize the aspects I was already good at. There was two distinctive writing styles that was taught in my English class.

There is many different way of planning that I use such as drawing pictures, making lists, brainstorming, using graphic organizers. Planning is important because it make the writing easier when I plan what I’m going to talk about. Also in the article by Berkenkotter which she did study and experiment on Donald M.
