Sandro Botticelli Sandro Botticelli was an Italian painter born in 1445 in Florence, Italy. From an early age, he had been trained originally as a goldsmith, a specialist in working with gold and metals. His father, then settled him in a studio taught by Fra Filippo Lippi, one of the greatest Italian artist during the 15th century. At the age of fifteen, Botticelli had his own workshop, this helped to contribute to his distinct art style, which incorporated with Neo-platonism. After his tutor left Florence for Spoleto, Botticelli continued to work on improving his figural style he had learned.

Blake, as a professional engraver, led a print shop with his wife Catherine where he had introduced a revolutionary engraving technique called relief etching. Blake used it for the first time in his collection of poems for children, Songs of Innocence in 1789, and in the expanded collection Songs of Innocence and Experience five years later in which he presented his talented illustrations incorporated with lyrical poems intended to change the world. Elijah Peirce was a carver and the son of a slave. He learned how to carve when he was very young when his father gave him a pocketknife. His uncle was the inspiration for all of his carvings because he was the one who taught him how to carve. In the early 1970’s Peirce’s name became known when a Student in the Graduate Program at The Ohio State University found his art at a YMCA exhibit. Today, a statue of Elijah Peirce proudly sits on the campus of Columbus State Community College on the very street his barber shop sat.
He was a Spanish expatriate painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist and stage designer. Picasso was born into a creative family. As his father was a painter, he quickly followed in his footsteps and was studying art formally from 11 years old. This is a very significant theme as it sculpted the entire adult life of Amir. After Amir and Baba had moved to San Francisco, Amir attended community college in hopes that he would be a successful writer. However, in the year 2001, he received a call from Baba’s former business partner Rahim Khan, whilst at home with his wife Soraya. Rahim Khan always acted as a father figure to Amir and gave him the love that he always lacked from Baba and for this reason, Amir was happy to hear from him. During their conversation, Rahim Khan told Amir that “there was a way to be good again” to which Amir instantly knew the reason for his statement.
In his late twenties, he moved to Edo, currently Tokyo, and gathered up enough students to open the Basho School. During this process, he started becoming ill (Norman 2). Matsuo Basho’s students loved to learn from him. His school was one of the first ones on poetry. They mostly just worked on revising and editing poems to make them better.
To take the images I saw in my head and make them a reality, I would use common tools such as paper and pencil. This spawned an inevitable future. By drawing stories that had already been written I started to then make my own stories and characters. Drawing became part of my identity. Both in my family and at school I was identified as an “artsy kid.” Middle school was the start of a series of ups and downs, a way of coping with difficulties for me was art, creating images I saw and felt.
