Enrique Martín Morales, more commonly known as Ricky Martin, is a Puerto Rican international superstar. He is a singer and actor. Martin began his singing career at age twelve when he joined a Latin boy pop group named Menudo. He later went on to become a solo artist. He has starred in Mexican and American soap operas. Ricky Martin's explosion into superstardom has helped open the door for many other Latin artists. Ricky is as passionate about his career as he is his charity works. Martin has been honored with many accolades for his humanitarian efforts including: Leadership in the Arts Award, Billboard's Spirit of Hope Award, ALMA Award, Vanguard Award, and International Humanitarian Award by the International Centre for Missing & Exploited
