One of this is the Highlander Folk School on which document 4 is about. Highlander was a center for training civil rights activists and labor organizers and it was really important because of the education it gave to Rosa Parks that eventually led her to to do what she did. In fact, when she came out of this school she felt free, she felt as important as any white person, or even more, this made her realize that not only she didn’t have to follow the rule of segregation, but she could help on the war against them. Of course, when talking about the montgomery bus boycott it’s necessary to talk about Dr. King, who not only led the movement, but he made it successful. Document 5 is King’s speech at the Montgomery Improvement Association.
These two articles present the lives of two culturally diverse and humans yet same in a way. THe differences of nobel peace prize winner Malala Yousafzai and Founder/Executive Director of war child in North America Samantha Nutt are showcased in these articles. The first of these similarities being that they are both avid selfless human rights fighters as well as being strong and independent women. Another similarity would be that they both empower people in areas of conflict such as Mala empowering Pakistani girls and Samantha Nutt empowering people in children and families in areas of conflict but they also have received titles and medals for their acts of the betterment of humanity. Their differences can be called upon just as easily as their similarities can some of which are the places and people they empower.
Alice Paul is a woman who fought for women’s suffrage through the formation of organizations, assembling protests, rallies, parades and the ratification of the 19th amendment. Alice Paul proved she was a brave woman when she stood outside of the White House to protest about women’s suffrage. The signs the picketers held were created intending to put conflict towards President Wilson. Paul and a group of women from the National Women’s Party were protesting outside the White House, when the police came and arrested them for “Obstructing Traffic”. While they were in prison, Paul started a hunger strike by herself first and then eventually the other National Women’s Party members went on a hunger strike to prove that they weren’t giving up and would fight through anything.

In this chapter, I chose to write about Hytapia Belicia Cabral. I think Diaz wants the audience to know details about Belicia's life, struggles, hardship, and why she is they way she is. Belicia had a difficult life growing up without a father, mother, and her two sisters. Her father, mother, and two sisters passed away while Rafael Leonidas Trujillo Molina was the dictator of the Dominican Republic. What I like about the character Belicia is that she wanted to become independent at a young age.

Throughout history, there have been many morally obligated people who have dedicated their lives to either helping others or advocating for a cause that is important to them. For example, Martin Luther King Jr. campaigned for civil rights because he felt an obligation to help the people in his congregation, his community, and in his race find equality in the white driven world they lived in at the time. There was also Malala Yousafzai, who survived a head shot wound, fought against the tyranny of the Pakistani Taliban, and promoted women’s rights and the right for education everywhere. These two historic figures have done their part to shape the world into a better place and, unlike Yousafzai, as she still continues her work today, King pursued his fight until the day he died. Like King and Yousafzai, a character by the name of John Proctor is born from the mind of Arthur Miller into his world renowned play, The Crucible and is the only man of his time to show his moral integrity.
