As industry exponentially grew after the Civil War, the need for labor and materials to power newly-created manufacturing giants caused new social classes to form: the rich corporation owners and the poor laborers. Unfathomably rich Robber Barons, or plutocratic American Capitalists, dominated the economy and industry and profited from the slave-like work of millions of poor laborers during this time period. Moreover, the poor working class and the rich further divided by distribution of wealth. The robber barons were the big industrial powers and large business owners who controlled the urban communities. The industrialization of urban cities allowed the creation of mass produced products at a low price. The industrialization of cities helped boost the production products created by unskilled labor. These capitalist enthusiasts abused their workers by offering low salary jobs, and creating poor working conditions. These men reaped high profits at their workers expense.

George Eastman gave generously to the Eastman School of Music. Her also gave money for scholarships, and internships to engineering students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Kids during this time couldn’t expensive schools because their parents didn’t have money to send them.

It was any man with wealth over a big corporation that was considered a Robber Baron. But, that is not was a Robber Baron is! A Robber Baron is a ruthlessly powerful U.S. capitalist or industrialist considered to have become wealthy by exploiting natural resources, corrupting legislators, or other unethical means.

There was always the question by historians on if the railroads were built ahead of demand for it, or if the railroad was built for demand. If one puts all their money into the railroad and it ends up being a flop like the pony express then all that money has gone to waste.
The government was focusing even more on unemployment relief now to bring back the country. Many organizations and many bills were created to help and aid the unemployed with jobs and basic needs. Unemployment relief was the biggest factor in the growth of the federal government budget. The Federal Emergency Relief Administration was the main relief program during this time producing many jobs to the unemployed. Federal Relief programs caused less people working for private companies.

Woodrow Wilson conflicts were political rhetoric and economic necessity. He wanted to make the economy advance for society. Wilson job was to expend wealth to share it to the new people being available in the system like, slaves, women, and immigrants. His political impact was to share the wealth for all social classes. Therefore, America started to globalized to expend and explore those before them, to optimize wealth and to show the rest of the world that the American Dream could be obtainable, because after banks, companies and families being in economy crisis, people around the world started to disbelieve in the American Dream.
