Walking Dead In the AMC series, The Walking Dead, you are abruptly pulled in as you see the modern world quickly change into a post apocalyptic nightmare. As viewers are seeing the new world for the first time, they are not given a clear understanding of what has occurred that has changed the world so dramatically. As the show progresses, the audience continues to learn more of what has transpired. This is done through the main character, Rick Grimes. Initially, he wakes up in a hospital bed disoriented only to find dead bodies littering the ground as well as blood splattered against the walls. Role conflict occurs when a person experiences conflict within a status, or a singular role that we play. This can cause a lot of strain on the individual. In the show, Andrea and her sister, Amy, were brought closer together by the recent tragedy. However, this shifts when the camp is attacked by “walkers.” As a result, Amy is attacked and infected by the “walkers. On one side, Andrea is then faced with a terrible choice, as her sister she should protect Amy. Yet, because Amy is no longer herself, Andrea feels it is her responsibility to make sure that she doesn’t harm anyone else. This situation has caused Andrea to experience role conflict. In the show, this difficult situation causes Andrea to choose to end Amy’s life. Teamwork, front stage, back stage, and role conflict can be seen throughout The Walking Dead series. Teamwork can be seen when Daryl, Theodore, and Rick work together to look intimidating to their enemies. Likewise, front stage can be seen when the gangsters and Rick's group are facing off. This is a front stage because each group is giving a performance. In contrast, the gangsters back stage is exposed when one of their members grandmother comes out. This is emphasized not only because they’re on opposing team, but also since R is a Zombie who’s practically dead while Julie is a living human. In general, teamwork is an important feature of many different organisms’ lives’. In the novel, it is especially helpful for both the humans and the zombies. In real life we can see its importance to ants, but they are obviously not the only species that use teamwork in order to survive. We can also see how both the humans and zombies use the steps given by the university of Minnesota in order to make functional teams to get certain jobs done.

It seems every summer a new hit blockbuster appears, covering the horrific details of yet another fictional outbreak of a disease which turns humans into mindless, cannibalistic shells of their former selves. The appeal of these stories is obvious – not only is the thought of our loved ones becoming mindless animals titillating and terrifying, when one watches these films one begins to question whether he or she could survive such an ordeal. The struggles are arduous, and many; could our society manage to work together against a common enemy, could it manage to exterminate those who were once loved family

Humans have always wondered what would happen to society if a disastrous event were to occur that would have the ability to wipe out the human race or put it in danger of extinction. We have created numerous theories of different natural disasters that can fulfill this requirement, including supernatural occurrences. Since these events are very unlikely to happen, we have created a way to portray these disasters as a form of entertainment for us to watch ranging from movies, television, and video games. We seem to enjoy watching actors play out in this disastrous scenario and see how they would be able to survive through it and save humanity. Zombies are one type of genre and supernatural event that people love to watch but also fear at the same time.

A primary group is when they share personal relationships and so forth. If the T.C. Williams wasn’t a primary group they would not be at Gerry’s comfort among other activities.
