Assignment 5 In the Politics, Aristotle describes three basic sorts of people, known as the beast, the citizen, and the god. Gods and beasts are both barbaric to Aristotle, because their ends are needs, not virtue. This is illustrated on page 109 when he says, “He who is without a polis, by reason of his own nature and not of some accident, is either a poor sort of being, or a being higher than man” (Aristotle, 1996, pg. 109.) This means that man is either a beast or a god if he chooses to be apart from the polis.
For centuries civilization has evolved and spread across the globe, causing for many cultures, traditions, and especially religions to develop. Even in ancient societies such as Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt, religion was one of, if not, the most important aspect of an individual 's life. Furthermore, these religions would also affect how each of these societies thought about justice and even influenced attitudes toward the afterlife.

People are devilish and they should be rebuked and the devils cast from the souls of hell. Religion has been stated to provide inspiration, and is the force that bind individuals together. However, organized faith has its disadvantages.
Although the Bible and Christian saints believed that being poor was better than being rich, not everyone gave up their riches to be poor. On the complete contrary of the Christianity beliefs, the Muslim were very greedy. In the 17th Century, two Muslim merchants sued another Muslim for not "paying an extra price and takes [all the merchant's cotton yarn] from its owner.
Religions have greatly shaped their followers' lives by their origin stories, societal teachings, and tone in their writings. Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism are different in their attitudes and creation stories, but similar in their social impacts. %Origin In the Islam, Hindu, and Buddhism beliefs and teachings, they differ in the number of gods worshiped and origin of life. Religion has the power to positively or negatively affect a civilization, depending on how it is practiced. Religion–it is something that has been in existence since the beginning of time. It brings meaning to life and death. It creates a sense of belonging in the world. It readily provides us with an active role and a guideline as to how we are supposed to live, while at the same time, telling us what, why, and whom we are living for. Though it is thought to be self-evident in its intention of power and influence, it gives very loose instruction leaving tremendous room for vast interpretation. It is in that interpretation that we create the basic moral understanding of right and wrong/ good and evil which we then incorporate into our everyday lives. Whether we like it or not, religion is everywhere and is a part of us; in every facet of life, we use religion to fathom some sort of understanding of why the universe exists why we

Religion is a constant element shaping our political, economic and social lives. It pinpoints the set of beliefs, dogmas and practices defining the relation between human beings and the so called “divinity”. War on Religion There is a belief among people that declares religion as the main cause of wars worldwide, and it has been the main cause of violence throughout the history of humanity. While we cannot deny that, some battles such as the crusades and the Lebanese civil war were based on religious faith, it is totally illogical to consider religion as the main cause of wars. Moreover, although there is also no disagreement that some extremist in Islam were behind 9/11, it is considered a misjudgment to say that all individuals in this religion convey the concept of violence and cruelty. The fact is non-religious incentives take the responsibility for almost all of humans’ wars. Lives lost during religious wars are nothing compared to those lost during non-religious wars.so why people believe that religion is the cause of wars, why they are wrong and do the extremist represent religions?
