With these rights in place Hobbes deems it could only result in such bloody chaos. His descriptions of the state of war are very colourful. Hobbes believes human beings are driven by their passions, which are continuous, and people will seek to satisfy these passions. He sees humans seeking ‘power after power’ and this has no end, only in death, “so that in the first place, I put for a general inclination of all mankind, a perpetual and restless desire for power after power, that ceaseth only in death”. In the state of nature Hobbes depicts mankind to be selfish, riotous and have relentless ambitions.
This was all over the world. Different countries were left out of the Versailles treaty and this made them feel that they never received an equal share of the treaty. This fact led to self interest in countries proving that they were the top leaders (Kershaw, 2000. Germany and some parts of Europe preached and advocated for Nationalism and Fascism with the party building its empire on extreme nationalism. Fascism kept on promising people the restoration of their economy and this was one of the factors that popularized Hitler, Mussolini and many others as nationalists with the mind of their countries looking forward to see great improvement in their economy.
To start this off I would like to talk about our two topics That I will be comparing and contrasting, Hitler and Gandhi. First things is first is to tell you about who they are so I will start with Gandhi. Gandhi was an important man who was inspired by peace when he was to lead India’s movement of independence for the civil right of Indians. He was a man who inspired millions to follow him on his journey and I believe was an amazing, successful leader. He did grow up with an education as Hitler tried but failed, which could have been the reason to the man’s anger during his leading.
An excellent, concrete example pertains to a man that goes by Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi was a very entitled and ambitious leader. Inspiring all Indians to recognize and learn resistance through compliant civil defiance, he empowered all Indians on a salt march to the untrustworthy British economic system. Mahatma Gandhi gave people the sense of self-respect and a feeling of honor in their civilization. Being more than a politician, he is a man of vision.
Martin Luther King Jr. once said "Man must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love" (qtd. in "Martin"). Martin believed that people of all color could come together as one, which he helped achieved, but also cost him his life. Martin Luther King Jr. was a very inspirational man whose assassination was caused by people of other race, being threatened by his want for change in what was considered to be equality for his people.
Leo Tolstoy, though being a writer was successful in guiding many freedom fighters into the abode of peace. He was instrumental in taking out Extremism single handedly and made a revolutionary slide in establishing peaceful fare into resistances both in Literature and in then Contemporary situation. He shaped Mahatma’s ideology in such a way that he successfully ousted apartheid out of South Africa and entered India only to repeat his performance. British never expected the freedom fighters to be so soft and smooth in their approach and this method of resistance succeeded in freeing India from the clutches of British rule and made Gandhi a Mahatma. The underlying fact here is that Leo Tolstoy had a virtually sound hand in invoking the idea of peace and non-violence in Gandhi and even Gandhi himself admitted to this.
Her battle against communism affected her as an author and inspired her writing in Anthem. In Anthem, citizens are constantly presented the idea that preaches collectivism and extreme loyalty to the state. The protagonist, Equality 7-2521, has grown up in this restrictive civilization and believed all he was told. Equality is exceptional in many aspects that are prohibited, and he has a
Starting with the uprising in Champaran and Kheda, Noncooperation movement against the British regime or the famous Salt March from Dandi , Gandhi dedicated his life to the people of his country. In a long political career, Gandhi’s opinions were seldom negated. He was the most important politician in the country, and his opinions matter the most. Muhammad Ali Jinnah
Kanthapura is best example of how Gandhian ideologies nfluenced in Indian writing in English. An Epic is a long narrative poem telling of heroic acts, the birth and death of a hero or of nation’s etc.Kanthapura is also an epic. Kanthapura is a tell of the impact that Gandhi had on the nation. He converted the whole nation into an army of freedom fighters. Gandhi was no less than the hero of an epic.
Its talks about his struggle in an unjust society where there was no place for the lowest strata of the Hindu Social order. The most beautiful thing I found about the movie is that Ambedkar not only rallied for Dalits rights but also for woman in form of Hindu Code Bill. He was a man who belongs to everyone in the society, who wishes the Indian society to be an egalitarian one. The movie covers most important events in Ambedkar 's life: his education in New York and London, his fight for untouchables, Ambedkar-Gandhi debate and his conversion to Buddhism. The movie was directed by Jabbar Patel and it was commercially released in 2000.The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the government of Maharashtra jointly funded the movie which was made with a budget of 8.95 crores.
