I would respond to this statement, by first asking and give an answer to this question “what is the role and function of the teacher is in our everyday or normal learning environment?” The teacher’s role and function first and foremost is to teach, by providing instructions (knowledge) in one or more academic areas to students. He is also a facilitator and a disseminator of knowledge. Being compared to a fountain then emphasizes the teacher’s important role as the source or foundation upon which knowledge is dispense (‘sprout from or disseminated’) to students. This country therefore recognizing the role and functions of the teacher in our educational system, has built two top public universities that provide training to would-be professional teachers up to the PHD level, the University of Education, Winneba, and the University of Cape Coast, at Cape Coast, these universities provide degree programs in Sciences, Technology, Arts and Humanities including Physical Education (Sports) and all student must as graduation requirement take a course in Education for a Diploma award, as part of the degree award. Besides these two Universities’ there are about 38 Specialist professional Teacher Training colleges, that are supervised by the University of Cape Coast, which manage their curriculum, conducts final examinations and award Teacher Diploma Certificate. Graduates of these training colleges may further their training at any University. These trained professional teachers are mainly for the basic and primary level. Professional teachers who have at least undergraduate degree, may teach in either the basic, primary, secondary or in the Polytechnics levels, but almost all move unto the higher level. Pupils are also fed at least once a day at school. The system is still not that perfect, there are lapses. One would wonder if we are practicing socialism, that is not the case, It has been identified most parents cannot pay their wards fees and buy some of these items it is more of an attempt to provide every Ghanaian child the opportunity to be educated, as enshrined in our constitution. Teachers are required to prepare weekly notes, according to the syllabus. Learning in this level is by rote. In the secondary schools, there are quite there are teaching rooms and facilities, though not also perfect, here the schools have science laboratories and technical workshops if it is a technical school. Teachers teach in the same way as the basic levels, but the training is more exploratory, there are group work and individual work. Students engage in all types of student programs, such as the National Science and Mathematics Quiz, National Science Fair, and inter-secondary school sports festivals. In the Colleges and the universities the lecturer gives out the main books which will guide his lectures. A Lot of schools need more teachers’. The world needs teachers. Being a teacher will help students become more successful in their education. That 's why I want to become a teacher so I can help students understand the concepts of learning different material. That 's why it takes time and effort to finish a task from where you start.
Reflecting on my educational and practical experiences, I appreciate the infinite influence that teachers have on children. I realise that children will take the skills and knowledge learnt in the classroom and use it throughout their lives. I know a teacher has to deal with many daily pressures and challenges, in the classroom. However, I feel I require the skills needed to deal with these challenges. As a teacher I hope not only to be an educator but a positive role model, whom the children can look up to and trust.

Stations or centers might be teacher-led if new knowledge is to be given or student-led if mastery is to be obtained on the information given by the teacher. Project-based is another strategy and one of the best ways to differentiate instruction due to the students’ needs and styles are addressed. Projects internalize help and support among students beside some academic skills. Tiered Activities, on the other hand, are based on the learning tasks designed at different levels of complexity according to students’ readiness levels, i.e. to be gradually given to the students ,whenever the student finishes one stage, they transfer to the other one until the task is done, or at times keeping the learning outcomes same the learning tasks can be designed according to students’ learning preferences viz. Learning styles or Gardner’s multiple intelligences.

In this assignment, I will be writing on how to apply the principles of pedagogy in my area of specialism. Effective teacher uses diverse teaching strategies and universal approaches that suit situations, different strategies in different grouping of learners to improve learning outcomes, There are different teaching styles that suit different learners backgrounds and ability. Teachers are ldentified in their profession as ‘learning specialist’ , and there are five principles of good pedagogy which are Motivation, Exposition, Direction of activity and Inviting imitation. Andragogy is the best approach for effective delivery and pedagogy, both approaches must be used to ensure effective delivery. The principle is the idea of the curriculum and requirement of my subject area, I adopted pedagogy and andragogy that learners will understand The word motivation preceeds teaching at all times the teacher is preparing for delivery of effective and engaging instructional process.
