4.0 Roles of English in Developing Countries (Malaysia)

English has served in multiple fields in Malaysia. Although English is only considered as nation’s second language, the language still plays important roles in many sectors. Being the world’s leading global language, English could be the most popular language of the planet Earth. Global language is the language achieves a genuinely global status when it develops a special role that is recognized in every country (Crystal, 2003). Apart from being a commonly used language throughout the world, English has also served a purpose in other fields as well, that will be further explain below.
