Killing his father Cronus/ Saturn, Zeus/Jupiter became ruler of all the Gods, his first brother, Hades/Pluto, ruler of the Underworld, and his second brother, Poseidon/Neptune, ruler of the sea. From all their famous adventures of smaller gods and demigods, stories were spread from person to person. The Gods/Goddesses influenced daily life for both Roman and Greek citizens. Even today you can find anything that could be related to or based on by the Greek Gods. The Greek/Roman Gods made a big impact on our world back then and to this day also.
There were many Gods and Goddesses that appeared in stories told to. children. One story would be how Zeus lived as the only sibling to have not been swallowed by his father and the war between the Gods and the Titans. As a child “Zeus was tended by gentle nymphs and was nursed by the fairy goat Amaltheia” As Zeus got older, he saved his siblings and defeated his father making him the ruler of the Universe and the Titans didn't like that. His chrildren are Aeacus, Angelos, Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Athena, Dionysus, Eileithyia, Enyo, Eris, Ersa, Hebe, Helen of Troy, Hephaestus, Heracles, Hermes, Minos, Pandia, Persephone, Perseus, Rhadamanthus, the Graces, the Horae, the Litae, the Muses, the Moirai. We have recently found out that in the past, the Greeks have had very similar gods and beliefs as us Romans. Although most of us believe they were initially the Romans possessions, we begin to question our knowledge. We have found evidence and signs that many things could have been stolen, or borrowed from the Greek civilization. However, when Zeus, the sixth child was born, his wife did not let him eat him. As Zeus got older, he put a potion in his father’s wine which made him throw up the children. Then Zeus led his siblings in the battle against Kronos and Titans. They won the battle, and Zeus became King of the gods.
