In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, he represents how important understanding is. He represents how important it is by showing possible consequences such as death of your self or the death of others. In the play Mercutio dies because Tybalt , him, and Romeo can’t come to an understanding or an agreement on what should happen between Romeo and Juliet. Another way Shakespeare shows how important communicating is by the way Romeo dies. If Balthasar would have taken the time to listen to or understand the priest at the funeral he wouldn’t have told Romeo that Juliet was dead. Therefore Romeo wouldn’t have died and neither would have Juliet if there was a better understanding.
