In Act I of the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, there were a lot of moods. The best moods to describe it are sad and heartbroken. “Out of her favor where I am in love” (Act I, Scene 1,185). This quote relates to the mood because Romeo feels heartbroken that the girl he wants to be with doesn't want to be with him. “O dear account! My life is my foe's debt” (Act I, Scene 1,115). This quote connects to the mood because Juliet finally met a guy that she has fallen in love with but he is from a rival family. She is heartbroken to find this out. The song that relates to the mood of this song is “Somebody that I used to know” by Gotye. The mood of this song is heartbroken. My first quote from this song is “But you treat me like a stranger, …show more content…
My first quote I used from the play is “For fear of that I still will stay with thee, And never from this palace of dim night” (Act V, Scene 1, 166-167). Romeo is talking about how he will never leave this place and he wants to get into her tomb next to her to die with her. My second quote I’ve used to represent the mood is “Thus with a kiss I die” (Act V, Scene 3, 120). Before Romeo dies, he decides to kiss Juliet one more time then drink the poison. The song I used to go with the mood is “Bang Bang Bang” by Selena Gomez. My first lyric I used to go with the mood was “Bang bang bang I'm breaking in stealing all of my love back”. This relates to a quote from Romeo because he still is breaking back into the building to be with Juliet and killing himself just to be with her. My next lyric I used from the song is “And you just lay there alone, yeah, you got what you wanted” (Act V, Scene 3, 120). This quote relates to what Romeo did because the song talks about laying alone and you got what you wanted like how Romeo is laying there dead and he got what he wanted by killing himself. Both the song and the quotes relate to the mood of tragedy in Act
This song is about a man who is telling their lover that only love will free them of their cold heart. This begins with the man asking how it felt to be alone. “When you were young and on your own, how did it feel to be alone?” Young started this song with those lyrics because he wanted the song to have a stronger message. Isolation makes a person’s heart go cold and only love can break that ice.
-Colt Ford “I whispered underneath my breath, but you heard it, darling you look perfect tonight” -ed sheeran “You may not know it now, but your gonna miss this” -Trace Adkins “As many times as i blink i’ll think of you, tonight.” -Owl City “I’ll watch the night turn light blue but its not the same without you.”
Tell me, that I may sack/ The hateful mansion. (draws his dagger)” (III.iii.114-117). These suicidal thoughts and actions demonstrated by both Romeo come back to bite when they actually go through with it in their final moments. Suicidal thoughts in Romeo and Juliet consequently ends in their
Romeo being young and driven by emotions can’t see any other life without Juliet and decides in that moment that death is something he would welcome if he could be with Juliet again. In that final act of the play, Romeo commits his most impulsive and most remembered act of being driven by emotions, therefore, ending the tragic drama of Romeo and his
/ Too early seen unknown, and known too late! / Prodigious birth of love it is to me / That I must love a loathed enemy” (1.5.152-155). In this quote, Juliet expresses her woe at the fact that the person she loves is a Montague whose affection is forbidden. Her saying this shows the idea of duty in that she is conflicted with herself over her duty to her family and herself.
It’s that damn rhetorical styling that got me. I listened to this album for a week straight when it came out in August and then went on a month long detox. Feeling a craving for it today I wasn’t surprised when this line ended up being one of the features in my ear’s highlight reel. It’s that damn rhetorical styling, I tell you. It’s a sweet song from a boy to his love.
Now that he has committed murder, however, Romeo feels he has been a “fool” to play into fortune’s hand, and has failed to resist harder as the pull of fate’s
Number 5: I Got the Boy by Jana Kramer I Got the Boy, to me is a song that no matter how much you try, you will never be able to get it out of your head. It is a very catchy and good song. It is a song that sings to you like a canary.
(V.III.116-120) This quote is right after killing Paris. It shows how his affection for Juliet has persuaded him to kill himself just because he can’t live without her. Romeo doesn’t really even know what love is, at the beginning
That’s where I must use it” -Romeo. Here the reader can identify that Romeo plans on killing himself for the sake of his love for Juliet. Later after love devours Romeo and he kills himself, Juliet wakes up to see his dead body resting there. “Oh, noise? Then I’ll be quick.
At the beginning of the story, Romeo was convinced to go to a party. However, he did not want to go, saying, “Some consequence yet hanging in the stars shall bitterly begin his fearful date (Shakespeare).” Romeo knew that night would lead to his final days. This is one quote that shows the inevitable hand of fate in the play. Obviously Romeo was a very melodramatic character, and in one instance said, “My life were better ended by their hate than death proroguèd, wanting of thy love (Shakespeare).”
This quote shows how Romeo was upset and he was not happy but instead disappointed and angry because he didn’t get the happy ending he wanted with the girl he fell in love with, he explains how he fell in love with a girl and how she is really beautiful to him which is why he is upset that the girl
When Juliet learns of Romeos presence, she states “If they do see thee, they will murder thee. ”(Line 70). Unmoved by this, he claims that “My life were better ended by their hate than death prorogued, wanting of thy love. ”(Line
( Act 3 Scene 2 ). But Romeo is the one to blame because he is in all of the drama in every
She struggles with the thought of her lover leaving because of how she made them feel after lashing out. In the chorus, she says, “Hey, it’s all me, in my head/I’m the one who burned us down.” She wants to clarify so her lover knows none of what happened was their fault. It was all on her. She admits she does not like watching her lover get upset over her behavior by saying, “It’s so excruciating to see you low/Just want to lift you up and not let you go.”
