As you can tell by the title, I’m writing about someone in who has murdered their entire family, all in one house. The murderer's name is Ronald Defeo. This interested me because of how many different stories were heard about this. Before I started doing research on this event, all I knew about this was that someone had murdered his entire family in one night. Others have talked to me about this topic before, but I didn’t think of it as a big case until I started research. As different things started coming up, the topic started getting more interesting. This all happened in 1974 when Defeo was just 23 when he committed this crime. While researching, I found many things that he had done during his childhood, and teen years. This got me think …show more content…
A few different families have lived there, but some get “haunted” by, what many people think were the Defeo family. Many people believed this because of how the family was murdered. They may think of these hauntings as getting back at other families who wouldn’t have to go though dying because of their own son. Others may think it’s just a hoax and people aren’t really getting haunted for this. Many people have a different perspective on this, but they all have something in common who what had happened the night of the murder. Still after more families start to move in, many of them move out quickly because of all the suspicious activity that goes on in the …show more content…
murdered his whole family, Mother, Father, two brothers, and two sister. It is still unclear why DeFeo committed these crimes, but there are many different things that people suspect happened. His childhood wasn’t the best either. Although his family did try to care for him, it was Ronalds decisions on life that made it so hard for him, also with some help with the teasing from other kids in his school. He got into many bad things and at first his parents did try to help be he ended up refusing and that lead to his parents “rewarding” him on his bad behavior. There are many things that people say that happened at this house after he had committed the crime, and everything was cleaned up. This is how the Amityville house had become so

David Elderidge should be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of murder. Although the defendant claims that he is not guilty, they are wrong because Mr. Elderidge had the motive to kill Mr. Armes, the spatula that killed Mr. Armes had Mr. Elderidge’s fingerprints on it, and Mr. Elderidge was seen at the crime scene by William Warden shortly before Mr. Armes’s death. The first reason in the case was that Mr. Eldridge had a motive to kill Mr. Armes. Sandy Smith testified Mr. Eldridge was in desperate need of money because the bank would repossess his home.

The Tylenol Murders In 1982, seven innocent Chicago civilians were boldly murdered. In late September of 1982 seven people were killed after an unknown suspect placed cyanide laced Tylenol pills in store bottles. Two main suspects in this unsolved case are James Lewis and Roger Arnold, who had both been linked to this occurrence in some way. The mystery behind the Tylenol murders can be summed up in two theories: Roger Arnold took bottles from the Tylenol distributor that he worked for, poisoned them and placed them on store shelves or James Lewis bought/stole the bottles, poisoned them and placed them on 6 different store shelves.
On May 21 in 1960, one of the most notorious american serial killers was born. According to his official biography updated in 2017, Jeffrey Dahmer strangled over 17 males in his lifetime, sexually assaulting and dismembering them after they died. After his arrest in 1991, officers found many body parts in jars around Dahmer’s house including a head sitting in his refrigerator and many horrific polaroids of his already dead victims. He was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison, but was killed in 1994 by another prisoner. Soon after his death, a group of people bought all the weapons used to kill Dahmer’s victims to destroy them and leave the horrible events in the past.
Adolfo Davis committed murder at 14 years old and was sentenced to a life in prison. The judge argued that Adolfo had known what he was doing during the robbery. She has a point that Adolfo could have changed his mind at the time of the robbery. Also Adolfo had numerous opportunities to get help and leave the gang. He could have called the police and report his situation.
On October 20, 2014, LaQuan Mcdonald was shot 16 times by law enforcement after being seen holding a knife. Although he was carrying a knife, video evidence showed that McDonald was in no way posing a threat to the responding officers. After the murder, the McDonald family revealed that LaQuan suffered from PTSD and complex mental health problems. However, there is no education for police officers on how to respond to people with disabilities or injuries. I am not justifying the murder of LaQuan McDonald, but I am trying to justify why defunding the police will only hurt our society more with the few requirements needed to become an officer.

Serial Killers: Nurture vs. Nature Family members are clueless about a possibility that one of their loved ones could be a serial killer. A young girl in Wisconsin had no idea about her father being a serial killer until she put the puzzle together years later. The family moved every six months with no reason and with a limited time to pack. There was a murder at every place they moved from. After the young girl was around the age of forty she told the police that she believes her father was a serial killer.
