Some common methods include focus groups (group discussions), individual interviews, and participation/observations. The sample size is typically small, and respondents are selected to fulfil a given quota. Quantitative Research is used to quantify the problem by way of generating numerical data or data that can be transformed into useable statistics. It is used to quantify attitudes, opinions, behaviours, and other defined variables – and generalize results from a larger sample population. Quantitative Research uses measurable data to formulate facts and uncover patterns in research.
The study that will be conducted using a quantitative method. This method is practiced survey types of data collection. There are various types of surveys such as telephone survey, mail survey or internet survey that's being used by researchers to collect data from the respondents. This study will use descriptive survey to collect the data, which will ask the participants to answer questions administered through questionnaires. This survey will conduct with a method of face to face in distributing the questionnaires to ensure the whether the participants answer all the questions or not.
Quantitative data collection uses random sampling and structure data collection instruments that fit many experiences into a predetermined response categories and the outcome product are easy to summarize, compare, and generalize. By using quantitative data collection this research was more concern with testing hypotheses derived from theory and being able to estimate the size of a phenomenon of interest. A paper-pencil questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument in this research. Here the researcher utilized the paper-pencil questionnaire because it permits anonymity, and as stated by Chaleunvong (2013) this may result in more honest responses and does not require research assistant. The researcher used likert scale in the questionnaire whereby he got definite answers.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: The validity of any research depends on the systematic method of collecting the data and analyzing the same in a logical and sequential order. In the present study, an extensive use of both primary and secondary data was made. The present study has been mainly based on survey method. Primary data have been collected by issuing questionnaires directly to the respondents who are working in Banking sector. Simple Random sampling technique was employed to select the sample respondents from the selected Banking industry totally 100 employees were chosen.
Social media has allowed people to be more willing than ever before to share their personal lives. The digital world has created a continuously changing landscape of creative and expressive tools for people to use. Clever qualitative researchers will need to keep their respondents engaged while seeking out new ways to take advantage of this trend to benefit their clients (White, 2015). Current research methods will continue to be used if they are applicable and can fit the desired research. As data is extrapolated from consumers the gathered research reveals that it is more than just facts and figures.
Researcher has applied both the types of statistical application which are relevant to the study. Descriptive Data Analysis Descriptive statistical analysis limits generalization to the particular group of individuals observed no accession are extended beyond this group and any similarity to those outside the group cannot be assumed. The descriptive data analysis gives a general depiction of the types of statistics used in educational research. The descriptive data analysis that has been used are Measures of Central Tendency---- Mean, Measures of Dispersion--- Standard Deviation and Measures of Relationship---- Co-efficient of Correlation. Inferential Data Analysis Inferential statistical analysis always involves the process of sampling and the selection of a small group assumed to be related to the population from which it is drawn.
These issues that has been stated above are the issues that has been happening in Malaysia all these while. “I’m all for the one-school system. I don’t think we should encourage the existence of vernacular schools. If the children are going to be Malaysians, they should study and play together.” (Noor Farida, 2016). By going to the primary and secondary government school instead of the vernacular schools, Malaysians can fight racism easily as the children will learn to make friends and bond with people from other ethnics to break racism inside them.
It helped in gathering needed information from students which helped in understanding their view about the factors affecting their performances both positively and negatively and they also gave several opinions on ways and measures to be taken in order to better improve these factors. The research instrument being referred to is the: Questionnaire Method A questionnaire is a data gathering method that contains questions with a choice of answers formulated for the purposes of a survey or statistical study. It was utilized to gather qualitative data from students and lecturers. This specific data gathering technique was chosen on the grounds that it could be presented to every respondent in the exact same way to minimize the influence of the interviewer. Moreover, outcomes acquired by a questionnaire could easily be compared objectively.
It is the analysis of social phenomena, and statistics are not used at all. Instead researchers will look at biographies, interviews, case studies, and try to understand why people act as they do. Qualitative research is considered to be particularly suitable for gaining an in-depth understanding of underlying reasons and motivations. It provides insights into the setting of a problem. At the same time, it frequently generates ideas and hypotheses for later quantitative research.
In this research method, quantitative data can be collected through two main measuring tools are custom surveys and structured questionnaires. According to Sukamolson, S. (2007), there are several characteristics of quantitative research tools rationalized as follows: Telephone survey is conducted by market researchers implementing under large sampling to gather results quickly. It is advantageous tool for close-end questioning where the sizes and scopes of objective is identified, and gain a high success of response rate in forecasting attitudes of population. Besides that, telephone surveys take low costs, optimal purpose for insight studies. Online survey is used to determine general meanings from particular population in an implement with short time, especially effective with small-size organization or private businesses.
