Katy Meredith Genie the Feral child Genie a feral child born in 1957 in California, was imprisoned until the time she was 13 now she is currently 58-59 years old, at thirteen years old she had the body of a six year old and still wore nappy's. While imprisoned genie was never taught to speak and when she was released could not talk as she didn’t know any language or she could barely walk. She had compulsive silence and showed inappropriate behaviour. Social workers believed that is was obvious that she as being mistreated. She had the language and motor skills of a baby.
The situation was getting severe. Due to segregation, African Americans were not hired as drivers, were forced to ride in the back of the bus and were also ordered to give up their seats to white people. There was a need for a fight because the white people were never going to eliminate segregation by themselves. One of the first fight was initiated by an African American lady whose name was Rosa parks.
What makes someone a hero? Heroes are people that do something to make the world better. Heroes help people when they are in need. Rosa Parks was a person who helped those in need and did something to make the world a better place. Rosa Parks is a hero because she stood up for herself, she stood up for others, and made the world a more peaceful place.

Catlyn’s parents have been in jail since the beginning of October. Catyln’s grandfather told Catlyn to stay with Onnie. Onnie is the mother to Catlyn’s friend. Onnie found out the parents were in jail two days later on the news; Catyln had been with Onnie since. On 10-19-15, Linda (grandmother) picked Catyln up from Onnie’s home.

Their was one that stood out the most to me and that was what Freak says later in the book,"...you can remember anything whether it happened or not. " I think that that means you can remember things that never happened even if you learn to know it never happened. This quote stands out to me because I can remember things that were merely my imagination from when I was little. One thing I can remember that my mom always said never happened was a story about me driving my mom and dad 's minivan down the road to a nearby gas station and breaking down, I had always insisted it happened even though it obviously never did until I was 10 years old.
