Be it a perennial basketball all-star, a platinum-record producing artist, or an author whose name seems to be permanently etched onto bestseller lists – I respect anyone who is a titan of their craft, a groundbreaking trailblazer who redefines whatever they do. Rosalind Franklin was the manifestation of an extraordinary person. A remarkable scientist, Franklin received a PhD from Cambridge University when women maintaining desires beyond becoming housewives were ridiculed. Franklin later became a fellow at King’s College, where her work on X-Ray Diffraction revealed the structure of the most important molecule in science: DNA.
