I have always wanted to help people and to help them better their lives, but I never could figure out how I could make that passion a reality, until the day I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety at age eleven. After that rough period in life, I learned how I could help other people. I could listen to them and try to help them better understand themselves. Life is much easier for a person when they have people who believe in them like a psychologist or therapist. My college plan would be to earn a bachelor, and master degree in Psychology to become a Behavior Analyst. After earning a bachelor degree, I would pursue a certification to be a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. After obtaining a Certification to be a Assistant Behavior

I would be honored to be able to contribute to the National Honor Society if given the chance to take part in such a prestigious organization. Ever since I was in elementary school, I have driven myself to achieve knowledge with all the effort that I could muster. This drive is why I want to be a member of the National Honor Society; I believe that the organization will help to encourage my desire for scholarship by developing my leadership skills. I yearn to have a more positive impact on the people in my life, in my community, and in society in general. I believe that the organization will provide me with a better chance to achieve that goal by presenting me with more opportunities to help out in the school and community. Bearing the title of member of the National Honor Society will also aid in my efforts of being accepted into the college that I choose. I will benefit immensely if granted membership into the National Honor Society, and because of this, I will put in a great deal of effort in contributing to the organization in compensation.

These last few years have brought many changes to my goals and where my state of mind is. While my time here at Marymount has been the reason for all of it, I can’t help but thank my last year of high school for setting me in the right direction. It amazed me how a person was capable of making an animal or human better physically, mentally, and emotionally with their known knowledge and skills. So I found myself for a year or two bouncing from possible health professions because that’s what I wanted to do with my life one day. Eventually, I decided that being a doctor is truly what I want to achieve.
