For instance, similar writing styles are present in both writings. For example, both fields include a method section in their format. This suggest the importance of including their approach to accomplishing their desired topic. Furthermore, kinesiology and nursing first section present the sample they conducted their experiment on. Including their sample indicates their value towards the demographics of their participants.
Bowling (2009) defines RCT as an experimental method for the evaluation of the effectiveness of health services and interventions in relation to specific conditions. RCT involves the random allocation of participants between experimental groups, whose members receive the treatment or other intervention, and control group whose members receive a standard or placebo treatment. Also, it is a gold standard in testing the efficacy of an intervention (UCL, 2011). To commence the article assessment is the view of the abstract. The heading and abstract of the study was well outlined, concise and focused on the sample population, methodology, data analysis as well as the result of the study.
Paradigms are put together to assist in identifying areas in which the individual or group must improve for example, to realize aspirations, to satisfy needs, and to change or cope with the environment. Therefore, health is seen as a resource for everyday life. One paradigm that outlines an approach to achieve complete health from a holistic, ecological and salutogenic health perspective is the Red Lotus Model. It is distinct from other health promotion models in that it incorporates a system of values and principles that is applied across the phases of health promotion, including needs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. This paradigm is useful as it enables practitioners to proactively and purposefully put into action a connected system of values and principles across the phases of a health promotion process.
There are various clinician-administered measures for the assessment of OCD. Clinical interviews and various self-report measures are typically used as well as behavioral avoidance tests or observational tasks in which individuals are exposed to feared stimuli while rating their distress level. It is also important to review the etiological considerations when assessing and diagnosing OCD. Being that OCD involves both genetic and environmental factors. Heredity plays a major role in the etiology of OCD, therefore it would be beneficial to examine if any of Lady Macbeth’s family members have OCD or related disorders.
The individual is viewed as a biopsychosocial being who is continually interacting with the environment. The individual's goal through this interaction with environment is adaptation or adjustment. Roy and Roberts state 'The individual has two major internal processing subsystems, the regulator and the cognator." These subsystems are the instruments utilized by individuals to adapt to stimulus from the inside and outer environment. The regulator strategy works essentially through the autonomic nervous system and incorporates endocrine, neural, and perception pathways.
The degree of this meaningfulness is from the view of the person carrying out the occupation. The perception of this meaningfulness depends on the person’s developmental structure. Developmental structure includes feelings, senses, movements, thoughts, how the person perceives things and how they interact with other people. As occupations are performed these developmental structures can change. Occupations also have purpose which means while someone is performing an occupation they are trying to achieve goals.
Present study shows that reproductive health awareness and positive attitudes are necessary for adolescents to understand their reproductive health issues and help them to have positive health seeking behavior. Those who have good awareness on reproductive health can recognize and understand their reproductive health issues and those who do not have reproductive health awareness lack in understanding reproductive health issues. Those who do not have awareness and positive attitude towards reproductive health will make them more vulnerable to reproductive health problem, where most of them face psychological and emotional issues and poor access to health services. Therefore Adolescent health education can be a better option to understand health and it can provide good and effective behavior to protect their life. It should be provided in both formal and informal sectors, within a conducive environment that will allow privacy and confidentiality.
A healthcare delivery model is a systematic approach of that aims at creating quality and better access to healthcare services. Different models exist but all are aimed at the same goals base their views on provision of care and the receiving of care. The model addresses both the patient and the caregiver as the main participants and aims to solve the issues they encounter. The care receiver being the main subject of model is the one who triggers all the consequent activities that are carried out within the requirements of the model. The care provider responds to the actions induced by the patient (Hughes, 2008).
Early nurse’s scientist embraces the traditional and experimental methods as the guide in nursing research (McEwen & Wills, 2014). On the other hand, the perceived view stressed the importance of lived experiences, learned reality and human interpretation. It stressed that there could not be one single truth. Phenomenology which is part of perceived view recognized the importance of individual experiences, values, and perspective (McEwen & Wills, 2014). It also recognized that each individual experience is unique.
In Newman’s theory expanding consciousness is health (McEwen & Wills, 2014, p. 200). Time and space refers to temporal patterns or habits of an individual that are specific to them. Pattern recognition is recognizing patterns of an individual and then using that knowledge to expand consciousness. Pattern is a scheme, design, or framework that develops from an individual’s interaction with the environment and also with others. Integration via movement is how consciousness is expressed.
