Papa Smurf is a beloved character from the 1980’s popular cartoon about small blue creatures that live harmoniously while fighting against the evil wizard Gargamel. At a whopping 546 years old, Papa Smurf has the responsibility of caring for the whole Smurf village, and to do this he uses only love and affection to guide his fellow Smurfs and protect them from things such as the evil wizard Gargamel. Alexander Melvin Johnson was the best super hero spy in the world. His job was to save people that needed his assistance (just like any usual superhero spy would). Nemo has a greater truth as well. Nemo’s greater truth was to always listen to your parent, no matter what, they just want to keep you safe. The heroic journey follows the story of Marlin, a tiny clown fish who is terrified of everything even his own shadows. Like all other stories, Marlin’s hero’s journey started with his call to adventure. His call to adventure first started by taking Nemo to school, then realized he got captured by a group of divers.
He proves that he is a great leader and isn’t easily affected by conflict. He says, “[I] shouted out to him in my rage, ‘Cyclops, if anyone asks you who it was that put your eye out and spoiled your beauty, say it was the valiant warrior Odysseus…’” (96-98). Crooks goes through life without a true friend and no one to talk to. He has gotten used to no one giving him the time day.
