When his mother died he showed no feelings, not even anger nor sorrow. He might be afraid of showing emotions, which caused the sudden anxiety to laugh because he didn’t know what else to do. Furthermore, this is similar to his situation with Liz. The short story shows that Lambert has beaten Liz because she might have been unfaithful to him. Liz had never thought that Lambert would ever hit her as she says: “I just can’t believe you could do it.
And how Tally wants to convince shay to also turn pretty with tally and not look back. And how things will end with her sneaking around before turning pretty. Tally was very sneaky because of the way she did things like the time she went to new pretty town without being pretty. And they quoted “Tally was an infiltrator, a sneak, and an ugly. But to explain the reason the pretties said this awful quote was because she was funny looking and Tally didn’t belong over there as of now.

Though she insisted that was too old for the fairy tales, her maid would keep telling them every night. Therefore, Sera knew that she couldn’t lean against the wooden door forever. Tonight’s soiree had been a true disaster, she was willing to admit that much. Animosity between the princesses of the Golden Valleys had spoiled the soiree and Sera had found herself the target of the mockery. Usually, they would pick one of the younger, less experienced girls, but Sera had known that eventually they would figure out that she hadn’t received one single proposal yet.

After we got here my mother decided to stay long under the soma effects, even being conscious of how dangerous it was and that it could kill her. These people is insane, they don’t feel or even worse, they don’t care about losing somebody. After I arrived, it was like if I were the principal attraction for everyone, they made me feel like if I were a freak, even when they were the ones that looked like that. When I decided not assist to one of Bernard’s parties, his fame ended. That’s when I started knowing better Helmholtz, that even though sometimes he made me feel uncomfortable, it was not as with the others.
The image portrayal of women in this film is a way for the people in our society to see women as not having good standards. As when Waldo is first introduced to the film Darla instantly started gazing after him for being the rich, clean cut young man. Also Boys see girls as a scapegoat when it comes to their problems such as the scene when the club house burned down, and Alfalfa almost lost his best friend he says, “it all happened because I liked a girl” but it was really nothing to do with Darla that caused all of those events to happen it came from him not telling the truth and trying to hide her. One can also see the ideal role a woman should play in society. For instance, after the race Spanky did not expect Darla to be the one that helped them or be the one under the helmet.

You wasn’t no good. You ain’t no good now, you lousy tart” (95). In other words, Curley 's wife does not even have to be alive to cause trouble, and her death alone exhibits enough power to create distress. In addition, Candy is implying that Curley’s wife has had the ability to cause trouble all along. For example, George saw that the first time Lennie was introduced to Curley’s wife he immediately fell under her spell, which caused George to continue to warn Lennie about her since her knew what she was capable of.
Lee uses a somewhat background character to show this in her work. Mrs. Dubose, an elderly neighbor nearing the end of her life, “ was a morphine addict,” but always intended “ to break herself [free of it] before she died” (178). Often times Jem would receive her cold remarks while passing by her house, thinking her primitive and rude, never understanding her hidden constant battle. Upon her death however, he learned that behind all of her snarkiness she was a person with integrity who did not want to be tied down by a worldly substance, and began to see Mrs. Dubose as a person to be respected. Readers in today’s world know how widespread addiction is, and can now see the advantages to looking closer in order to find the true qualities that define the individual.
As subject of the family losing their plantation is brought up, Blanche instantly puts the fault on Stella making her the guilty one because she was never around to help.
