1. What do you think are the implications of Sabah controversy and the South China Sea issue to the territorial integrity and overall sovereignty of the Philippines The Sabah issue (otherwise called North Borneo) has been a noteworthy aggravation in bilateral relations between the Philippines and Malaysia, while the South China Sea debate has been one of the significant issues the Philippines is facing with China today. The idea of territorial integrity can be considered as the sovereign State. The territorial integrity of the Philippines may be trespassed by attack by the military of Malaysia and China into its airspace and, internal waters and territorial sea. This implies that if a resolution is not made to the issues, the country could not travel freely inside the region of these countries as they are being claimed to be part of the territories of Malaysia and China. Likewise, the Philippines can't do to help refugees, migrants and their descendants in Sabah, wherein a large number of whom still remain stateless until today .Moreover; it also poses a security risk for our country because it is allegedly the hiding place of the al-Qaid who is linked to regional terror group, Jemaah Islamiyah.
