School safety is a serious measure that every school should take into consideration. Every school must have policies and measures to make sure that both educators and learners are safe when they are in the school premises. There are ways in which both learners and educators safety can be violated within the school through bullying, Violence, conflicts, gangsterism, sexual harassment and drug abuse.

Bullying is to overpower someone, to force others to do something that is against their wish or values or to scare someone in doing something they do not want to do e.g. taking someone’s lunch without their will. Both parents and educators should give their learners care and love so that learners won’t feel neglected and unwanted. Teachers must take terms in standing in the gate every morning to search the school bags of all learners before entering school premises, to check for weapons and if they find them they must confiscate them. Parents should set a good example in the presence of their learners and teach their learners good manners. School must set the rules that makes it clear that when you get involved in violence you can be suspended or taken to detention. Therefore, the legislature requires every school to adopt a crime and victimization policy that conforms to specified criteria. Firstly, schools are expected to adopt a zero tolerance policy that defines the procedure followed by a given school (within the state) in reporting the misconduct or behavior of a particular student to the relevant law enforcement departments when the accused is within the district school board’s jurisdiction. Secondly, the policy clearly defines the mischievous acts deemed as dangerous to the schools’ safety. Thirdly, the policy defines the punishable petty acts of misconduct within the given school premises. Fourthly, the policy requires the schools to curb the acts of victimization committed against vulnerable students, staff members, visitors, and volunteers among other persons within the school premises.

Many things can happen inside of schools, including unexpected things. There are dangers in schools that without the proper equipment to defend against it can result in death. That equipment are guns. When people threaten the school with guns and violence, then we the students and staff need to be ready to counter the intruder. Bullying Can Be Prevented Bullying is a form of violence to pick on victims because they are different from their bullies, have insecurity/jealousy or home problems. The hate towards their victim has something to do with the victim having an unusual gift or being intelligent the bullies has yet to become. It is important that this behavior should be prevented or it will become worse. Bullying is one of the main issues public and private schools have to face on a day-to-day basis.
