I like the way that God convinced her to live her life while worshipping him, showing me you can make time for God every day. Another reason why I chose her is because she is a patron of nurses, which is special to me because my grandma and mom are nurses. Nurses also have to do with healing, and I wanted my saint to be a symbol of healing incurable diseases to show that you can never lose hope and to keep fighting.

Siddhartha Guatama was born between the dates of 5th or 6th century BCE in Lumbini. His parents were Suddhodana and Queen Mahamaya. Siddhartha now known as Buddha was born a pain free birth and born straight onto his feet, declaring his high position to the world (Corduan, 2012). Queen Mahamava passed away shortly after giving birth to her baby, leaving Suddhodana to raise Siddhartha on his own. Siddhartha was raised to have lack of knowledge, but he received the finer things in life and raised behind the palace walls.
Today we celebrate the feast day of Saint Jane Antide Thouret, a young girl who was born November 27, 1765 in France. Her upbringing consisted of her obligation to help her father take care of the family after the death of her mother. Jane joined the Sisters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul and was later forcibly removed due to the French Revolution despite her fierce opposition. Upon her return home, Jane took up charity acts and corporal works that included tending to the unhealthy and uneducated.

I would say that her mother, who works her butt off just trying to make sure that her kids get a good education. Her mother is struggles to make good money at her nursing job.
Rose was a hardworking, obedient, and caring person as she helped support her family when her father lost all his money in the journey of mining. She would make lace and she would help with the family gardened. She decided to take on the role model of St. Catherine of Siena and she knew that her calling was to help the Indians and to be able to evangelize them. She had a charitable quality and wanted that to one of her focuses on life. Her family encouraged Rose to get married, but she already vowed her life to God at the age of five.
I now know that there is a lengthy five year process, sometimes longer, that requires full dedication to the church in order to make sure the Sister truly wants this. I also was able to experience one of the prayer services that the Sisters attend three times a day, this was a unique experience. This assignment helped open my eyes to the once mysterious world of Sisters and nuns. I am thankful to be able to have these experiences and gain a richer understanding of my own
