Beyond any doubt, your thesis is well defined and precise. The particular text that was analyzed and the author’s name are clearly stated, providing to the reader background information on your paper. Your audience is well-established, you stated a sufficiently narrowed audience, proved how the intended audience you provided could help the author achieve his purpose, and moreover you explained why foreign and educational policy makers are the intended audience. Therefore, you related the audience with McGray’s purpose, which is one of the keys to a successful rhetorical analysis. In my opinion, positioning the thesis at the beginning of the paper is not a very good strategy because your reader might forget about the main idea at the moment he reaches
The first step is to establish the terms of the agreement signed by the people who sold their houses to Salt Lick Partnership. It is apparent that none of the sellers contacted a lawyer during the sale of their properties, and this reveals that they were quite vulnerable to terms that did not favor their position. However, it is lawful for sellers to sign property sale agreements without having to contact a lawyer, as long as the buyer provides all the legal information and follows due process in purchasing the property. The main reason for looking into the documents involved in the transaction is to look at loopholes that might render the entire deal illegal. If the purchasing lawyer had tailored the agreement in a manner that leaves the sellers vulnerable and illegally placed at a disadvantage, it will be possible to file a case that will reverse the terms or compel Salt Lick Partnership to offer better terms.
Almost every assignment you complete for a history course will ask you to make an argument. Your instructors will often call this your "thesis" -- your position on a subject. What is an Argument? An argument takes a stand on an issue.

In the first chapter, Mayorga-Gallo examines multicultural neighborhoods and their experiences, “This book unpacks the meanings white and non-white residents attach to this multiethnic space and their experiences within it” (Mayorga-Gallo 4). She unpacks interracial relationships in multiethnic neighborhoods by studying an annual picnic in a typical multiethnic neighborhood in North Carolina called Creekridge Park. She guides us (the readers) through the experiences of Black, White, and Latino/a residents. She also includes racial, gender, and age demographic charts to inform the reader. She included demographics to make a point that although neighborhoods are integrated, it does not necessarily mean that that will increase positive interracial relations.
Thesis statements are written to outline the main idea of an essay and to give direction to the paper. Thesis statements can often be argued or proved by factual information. As a writer, you want to base your thesis statement on your main topic of interest. For example, if my thesis statement is, "Cats aren't afraid of dogs. ", the rest of my essay needs to provide factual information on why cats aren't afraid of dogs.
The Thesis statement helps establishes the ideas of the paper, reflects the opinion and the purpose of the paper. This was a key lesson that I learned when writing my research paper (Solitary Break Down). “The criminal justice system needs to recognize the negative psychological impact caused by prison environments, and reform it in a regulated manner.” From this excerpt, the thesis provides a strong argument and gives the idea of how the paper will flow. I used Pathos with a combination of Logos to appeal to the audience on an emotional yet logical level on an issue that needs confronting.
Aristotle’s theories as regards to ethos and pathos still relevant today. Ethos is the image of the writer. There are numbers of reasons to use ethos. We can use it to know our readers, use examples to prove our point stronger. Pathos is a method of convincing people with an argument.
“After I had retired to the place where I had previously designed to go, having looked around me, and finding myself alone, I kneeled down and began to offer up the desires of my heart to God. I had scarcely done so, when immediately I was seized upon by some power which entirely overcame me, and had such an astonishing influence over me as to bind my tongue so that I could not speak… and it seemed to me for a time as if I were doomed to sudden destruction…just at this moment of great alarm, I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me.” (Smith) In the spring of 1820, 14-year-old Joseph Smith Jr. had a vision of God, and started the restoration of the Primitive Church. Over the course of 24 years, Joseph Smith Jr. restored a church that had been lost in time.
San Diego and Phoenix have very similar winter climates, although the summers are very different. It gets a little colder at night in Phoenix, especially at night due to the lack of the ocean's marine effect. Rainfall patterns are similar as well in the winter, it's San Diego's rainy season as well as it's Phoenix's rainy season too. But San Diego averages more rain in the winter than Phoenix solely because of the coastal location giving San Diego ocean evaporation.
