Post 1 part 3 Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation Post 1 part 3 Certified Nurse Practitioner Based on Mary’s experiences and interest, I would recommend that she becomes a certified nurse practitioner (CNP). The advantage of this role is that she will directly interact with the patients and hence be of maximum benefit to them (Pierce & Belling, 2011). The position is also fulfilling since one gets to gauge their performance over time due to the direct feedback from the patients. Besides, working in this role attracts higher salary due to the high educational background and the number of tasks assigned (Naylor & Kurtzman, 2010). Aside from taking care of the patient’s therefore, Mary would be assured of a stable income
The mentor will help the newly graduated nurses in performing their tasks and assignments. Having great experiences, especially in the specialized area helps the mentor to guide and deliver knowledge and skills to the newly graduated nurses, so that they are able to develop their essential skills in clinical settings. The mentor holds huge responsibility towards preparing future nurses who are competent enough to serve in the community (Pellat, 2006). Just like the senior staff nurses who act as a mentor in mentorship, newly graduated nurses who act as a mentee also play important roles and require full commitment in order to strengthen their competencies. The success of the mentorship program is closely tied to the relationship of the mentor and mentee.

This study deduced that affective commitment is related to empowerment which is consistent with the findings of Goudarzvand, Chegini, & Kheradmand (2013), Jafari, Moradi, & Ahanchi (2013), Fairuz, Nordin, Adnan, & Sirun (2013), (Malik, Chugtai, Iqbal, & Ramzan (2013), Hashmi & Naqavi (2012), Borghei, Jandaghi, Matin, & Dastani (2010), Bhatnagar (2005), and Bogler & Somech
